Suggest SOLAR Systems for Pakistan: "Cheap" and "Easy Technology"

میرے ذہن میں بہت عرصے سے اس مسئلے پر تفصیل سے کچھ سوالات کلبلا رہے ہیں۔ آپ لوگوں کی مہربانی ہو گی کہ اس پر روشنی ڈالیں اور اس مسئلے کے جوابات پیش کریں۔



آج سولر سے بجلی پیدا کرنے کی کئی ٹیکنالوجیز میدان میں آ چکی ہیں۔

کے پی کے کے حکومت گھروں کی سطح پر، اور پھر انڈسٹری کی سطح پر سولر کے ذریعے بجلی پیدا کرنا چاہتی ہے۔


میرا سوال بہت سادہ ہے۔۔۔۔ پاکستان کو سولر انرجی کی کونسی ٹیکنالوجی کو استعمال کرنا چاہیۓ؟

یا دوسرے الفاظ میں ۔۔۔۔ وہ کونسی سولر انرجی ٹیکنالوجی ہے جو کہ "سستی" ہے، اور جسکی ٹیکنالوجی بھی آسان ہے کہ جسے پاکستانی مستری آسانی سے ماسٹر کر کے تمام مٹیریل پاکستان میں ہی بنا سکیں۔

۔۔۔۔ ایک طرح کا چنگ جی ۔۔۔۔ جیسے پاکستانیوں نے چنگ جی رکشا بنایا اور اسکے زیادہ تر پارٹ خود بنا رہے ہیں، اسی طرح وہ کونسی سولر ٹیکنالوجی ہے جو کہ سولر کے میدان میں پاکستان کی چنگ جی ثابت ہو سکتی ہے؟


بلکہ 2 ٹیکنالوجیز کے متعلق بتلائیں۔

پہلی سولر ٹیکنالوجی "گھروں" کے لیے۔

اور دوسری سولر ٹیکنالوجی "انڈسٹریل" سطح پر استعمال کے لیے۔

Don't know how much voltage can you get out of solar panels that can be used for home appliances but surely this can be an efficient for lighting as using lower lumen lights such as LED lights could easily be supported by a panel that can fit on top of your water tank on the roof...

the problem is however corruption because i don't know about any industry in pakistan currently producing these kind of panels for home usage... so if you import it there would be import taxes and duties that may not end the product up as value for money...

if you pay 50,000 rupees for a panel that can support 4 lights and the warranty is just two years ... and the maximum life is around 5 years... so actually you are paying 10,000 per annum for 3 lights....??????

well any electronic expert can explain this better i guess

یعنی کے الطاف بھی کے پیچھے (جہاں سے قدرتی گیس نکلتی ہے) وہاں پر ایک جنریٹر کی تصدی کر رہے ہو؟

I traveled across Germany this year and I can assure you of one thing they are fanatical about solar panel they have them installed on almost every building possible because it is so cost effective at running even lights now in Britain the government is encouraging people to go on the same route Germany gets more sunshine than Britain yet they are pushing them. For Pakistan Solar panels couldn't come soon enough another thing that should be done is phase out the production of standard bulb and go directly for LED production.

Not sure about Germany but i am been to Poland, France and UK... Haven't seen many in the UK also the sunlight in countries like UK is poor due to its rainy kind of climate.. I have seen wind turbine generators in the isles of UK but my question is - Can a solar panel that can fit on an average size roof without compromising the space you need on the roof can be enough for home appliances ? i mean yes it can save some energy but an average iron is 2400 watts there ... you have always got a TV and couple of PC's switched on at all times.. same is the case with refrigerator and washing machines....question is we need an advice form an expert who can answer technicalities of this technology...

جوکر کبھی تو سیرس ہو جایا کر آج پا مہوش نے اگر غلطی سے کوئی سیریس تھرڈ سٹارٹ کر ہی دیا جواب بھی اس کا پزٹاف ہونا چاہیے

Few weeks back I visited the Karachi Saddar (Regal Chock) area to seek costing information about some small solar solution. Summarizing as below, you can have :
1. One Solar Panel (around 3 by 2 feet), which produces around 30 watts of electricity.
2. One Solar Pedestal Fan
3. Two LED Bulbs
4. Backup Battery (upto 5 hours)

This will cost around 9,000 to 10,000 Rs.

I have around 10 lights, a refrigerator, TV, 6 fans, iron... and a roof for a size of about 1 kenal (Covered area).... how much would it cost me to have a solar panel to fit in half of this area and how much of above items can it support and for how long (life) ?

سولر ٹیکنالوجی میں خود استعمال کررہا ہوں۔ خرچہ ایک ہی بار ہوتا ہے۔ پینلز کی گارنٹی عام طور پر 25 سال تک ہوتی ہے۔

شروع میں چھوٹے پیمانے پر سولر پینل لے لیں اور آہستہ آہستہ پینل بڑھاتے جائیں۔ میں نے آزمائش کیلئے شروع میں 200 واٹ کےسولر پینل خریدے تھے ، ایک انورٹر اور ایک بیٹری۔۔۔ اس پر تقریبا 55 ہزار کے قریب خرچ آگیا تھا ۔لیکن اس پر آپکو 12 واٹ کے پنکھے جو کاروں میں استعمال ہوتے ہیں اور ایل ای ڈی لائٹس چلا سکتے ہیں۔گرمیوں میں اس نے کافی حد تک یوپی ایس کے متبادل کا کام دیا ہے۔


آگے مزید سولر پینل ایڈ کرکے گھر کی تمام لائٹس اور پنکھے سولر پر شفٹ کردوں گا جبکہ فریج، ٹی وی، کمپیوٹر واپڈا پر ہی چلتے رہیں گے۔جیسے جیسے پیسے آتے جائیں گے ، واپڈا سے بتدریج چھٹکارا پاتے جائیں گے۔

cost in pak is about 150Rs per Watt
u can calculate total wattage of ur home
cells have gurantty of 20 - 25 years, depending on their types

the most costly thing is storage, which effects its overall efficiency
batteries are expansive and have to be change

one solution is to use off grid system (with out storage works only at day time)
second type is half storage i.e. in dark hrs storage provides power to lights and fans only. high power installations iron etc will use grid line
and third if u r in qutb shumali as ur location shows, wind turbine is least expansive and effective for u

Cheap Chinese Panels and the German inverters etc are the best solution.
I used to do this in the UK until few months ago we were fitting 4KW system for around 4500 (Rs: 780,000), (In 2008 the same system was around 16000 to 20,000) , this 4000W were more then enough for a 4 bed house. if Gov't in Pakistan is serious they should start something similar to the following company.
