india is way bigger country and have very complex problem.chances of succeeding
of pakistan was more compare to india because it had lot of things in their favour like
fertile land, natural resources, less population and so on.lack of visionary leadership
brings the country where it is today.

india is inheriting 5000 old culture and tradition and still moving fast forward carrying
old problems also.

reason that in early independence days india invested into human resouces, education
and democratic institutions.you need leaders at every level(political, enterprenuers, managers)that takes forward to the country.thats why indian
are succeeding everywhere where they go and country is benefited.

it is beauty of indian democracy that people from minority are leading that counry
(ratan tata (parsi) manmohan singh (sikh) abdul k azad(ex president) khans (film industry) hamid ansari (current vice president) current defence minister (christian)
sonia gandhi and so on.....

and (poor people,sc,bc) like laloo yadav, mayawati are well known politician)

pakistanis sees every thing with the eye of Islam and try to combine everything
with religion.
in world politics religion is the easiest tool to grab power and matures societies
(so called secular countries)kept it away to give power to deserving people
that are more accountable to their people.

I know pakistan have caliber to succeed but they need leaders at each level.

The relative success of India over Pakistan is simply due to larger population. The higher population results in higher volume of transactions, larger quantities of productions, and significantly cheaper labour in the global markets. There is no country in the world that has population of over 250M people and is doing bad in economy in relation to the countries with smaller populations. Of course the GDP will be higher because of more people. The better measurement tool of a countrys success is the standard of living of the population. There are lot f countries which have high GDP because of relatively high volume of transactions but very low standard of living. India has a very poor standard of living. As evident by the poor standard of living of Dalits, who are approx. 250 in India. What matters is the quality not the quantity.

The above statement re the emphasis Indian quantity over quality is further supported by the fact that there is not a single item produced by india that is comparable with the western or chinese products and services in quality.

Hence you are giving too much credit to India. There were no significant strategic investments by India in its own people. As evident by rat eating Dalits, the standard of living in India is pretty low.

Incredible and shining are not absolute terms. :geek:

These are relative terms...
So you can say compared to 50 yrs. ago or 25 yrs. ago, India is shining...

If it's a relative term then why say India shining? Why not say India shiner?
Or India more incredible? OR even better, new India?

Your advertisers can't use any of the above stated relative/comparative terms. You know why? Because the slogan is not based on relative terms. And you are misrepresenting the facts.

pakistan raise big voice about kashmiris, you think you guys love kashmiris???
It is their resourceful land that pakistan want to capture in by making religion a tool.

there are hindus ,sikh and Buddhists lives in J&k other than muslim.

Majority is still muslim

today's world boundaries are not redrawn easily.kashmiri (both side) deserve the
right of self determination so as tibiti, balochi and other communities in world.

That's what they said about Germany and the Soviet Union

poors are not entertained in both countries.difference in india is that there are
opportunities if some body does some extraordinary efforts can rise to any extent.

Do you take any medication for your hallucination? Forget a common man, even the government officials can't take oaths in their preferred languages in India. If they do, they get beaten.

Connect to the site and watch BBC documentary about what the untouchables have to do in order to survive.

Thanks for sharing the info Sobia. Please continue to share similar info so that people become more acquainted with the ills of caste system and its progress in India.

Exploitation of people based on caste system is a vile notion and should be discouraged via spreading information about it.

Thanks again.

Success is also a relative term.

2. Shining - compared to something, India is shining.

I don't know maybe this is your jealousy and pain speaking...???

---I believe it's plain ignorance/deliberately sidelining to hide humiliation from your part to even link it as such considering the scenario presented lingering from decades and perhaps NOT likely to ever go away  the only shining ( sarcastically) and stick out thing is unfortunately and sadly the dire condition of your poor fellow indians :(

Jealous of what? Not getting served rat dishes like the Indians?

However, it could be pain. The pain of watching another human being serving rats to himself and his hopelessly poor kids as the only affordable source of proteins. But Indians would not understand this. This discriminatory treatment of the human beings is a part of your culture. It has become a fabric of of your self-centered personalities. Unfortunately you can't feel the pain of other people and believe that the welfare of 20-30% of the population is good enough to declare yourself a shining group of people. The lamp of your fictitious shine is burning through the blood of millions of hopelessly poor and neglected people.

The shine of India resembles a shoe shine. Ironically the Dalits are also mythologically believed to have originated from the feet of the Hindu god. It is this shoe shine that helps india to standout in the world of discrimination and exercised ignorance over the human beings with lesser means.

I seriously feel blessed because of the fact that I am not an Indian.

1. No, the success India has had over the last few years. We are one of the BRIC countries. We are the source of stability in the Sub-Continent.
We are a secular democracy in a neighbourhood where your religion determines your level of treatment. Where a minority (Ahmedi) is declared non muslim, and when there are calls to kill them on TV shows, the government does nothing.

Your Constitution discriminates against minorities. This shows your intention, and may i say the intentions are evil.

2. You are referring to dalits, yes, they have been discriminated against for thousands of years and to an extent this practice has not stopped completely.
But, do you know that they have reservations and quotas as far as jobs in government and education institutions are concerned?
Do you know that we have a law in this country against caste based discrimination, which has been used successfully in many instances?

This shows our intention.
A practice which has been going on for thousands of years will unfortunately not end in 60yrs., this will take a few more generations.

3. The Chief Minister of the largest and most populous state is a Dalit, and she won an election where even the other castes voted for her.
How many Ahmedis are in your parliament?

Why have you not repealed the Blasphemy Law? Why can't a non muslim become the Prime Minister, President, Chief of Armed forces?

Sitting in Canada, which is a developed country, you might feel India hasn't achieved much, but, my friend leave your good life in the west, and come back to your country Pak to see what the conditions are there.

Your ignorance amazes and amuses me.

The first step towards solving a problem is to accept that there is one...and we have acknowledged the problem and taken steps to solve it, laws passed by the Parliament etc.

What has your country done? Has anyone been caught in the murder of Ahmadis (Aalim online saga)

In one of your previous post you have written that Mahatma Gandhi did nothing for the dalits. This just shows your ignorance and lack of knowledge.

Shame on You!!!

We are a secular democracy in a neighbourhood

--Secular only by name, one of your two major party always contesting has been fundamentalist hindu party BJP whose members have been even charged and cited in "hate filled rhetoric directed at one particular community" and people continue to overwhelming support them

religion determines your level of treatment.

----Our constitution protects minority laws and as such ahmedis do fall under that category, they are NOT untouchables like dalits in india.

Where a minority (Ahmedi) is declared non muslim

--Ahmedis are a minority and Non muslims and would be treated if they remain as such but they can NOT claim to be something they're NOT and then expect to be treated under this particular category :ugeek:

Why have you not repealed the Blasphemy Law?

--Blasphemy laws are to control and restrict any immoral and riot prone gestures from any mischevious minds and hate mongers, desperate to ruin the harmony of masses [clap]

Why can't a non muslim become the Prime Minister, President, Chief of Armed forces?

--Any one fitting in the codes presented in the constitution of"Islamic republic of Pakistan" is open for any such posts and offices. :ugeek:

You are referring to dalits, yes, they have been discriminated against for thousands of years and to an extent this practice has not stopped completely

-Is this discrimination based on ignorance, hatred or some other thing?? Until and unless it stops,to claim any such ridiculous prefixes with your country would be a plain and simple injustice to these poor human beings and even to your ownselves, now who could be more deserving of shame than ya'll [funnny]

dear sk
u should be...bcoz if u were an indian than u will be definetly a shoo shiner [hilar] [hilar]

That's very unlikely. Majority of the people in India can't afford shoes. They walk bare feet. Do you see people taking the profession of a farmer in deserts?
