Haha you are repeating what I said? For sure if you are comfortable with the language you are exposed to in your early days, then speak that language to communicate effectively! Ab ismein kia?
This is what I said. People of subcontinent are exposed to some variation of urdu in their childhood. That's another topic of Asian children born in the west whose parents did not even go through the trouble of speaking their own language with their child and leaving them without roots. Language is not just about communication. It is a vehicle of values, culture and unwritten tradition. It is also a way to access your poetry, literature and history in addition to carrying the wisdom gained over ages. I feel strangulated not knowing Persian and unable to read Hafiz and Rumi. I can't imagine a pakistani unable to tap into, get inspired and enjoy the beauty of the works of Iqbal, Ghalib, Krishan Chandar, Qurat ul Ain Haider etc.
