Re: Wanted: Sharukh Jatoi story
KARACHI: Two more witnesses identified Siraj Talpur, Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Mustafa Lashari in front of the Judicial Magistrate South on Friday.
The eye witnesses in their statement said Shahzeb was returning from a Valima ceremony and his mother and sister were opening the door to their home. At this point Shahrukh’s cook, Ghulam Mustafa Lashari misbehaved with Shahzeb’s sister. Shahzeb was called by his mother and upon his arrival scolded and slapped Lashari.
Siraj Talpur and Shahrukh Jatoi arrived at the scene and a heated argument ensued. The situation was defused by people following which Siraj and Shahrukh left.
Later at night, Siraj and Shahrukh returned and called out to Shahzeb. Shahrukh and Siraj opened fire on Shahzeb’s Khan car as he was trying to flee which caused the vehicle to overturn.
When the eyewitnesses arrived at the scene, Siraj Talpur and Lashari were screaming that Shahzeb was still alive and he should be shot. Shahrukh Jatoi shot Shahzeb thrice and all the accused fled.
Eyewitnesses further said that following the firing they took Shahzeb to the hospital. They called Shahzeb’s mother, but by then he had passed away.
According to the witnesses the incident took place at Khy-e-Baharia and they could easily identity the accused as the street was well lit.
Prior to this two other witnesses’ in their statements had said that Siraj Talpur shot Shahzeb Khan.
