It is sort of a slip of tongue. Hashmi sb has paralysis, he feel troubled, when he talks. By the way, Last time his leader was Nawaz Sharif and today Nawaz Sharif is the Leader of the House, so Hashmi sb was right.

One should not take it in a negative sense and rather look it in bigger picture. That is his greatness. At least, he has a courage to stand up, appreciate and congratulate newly elected prime minister. There is nothing wrong with it.
