Threadstarter's comments : I usually refrain from labeling any one as Qadiani unless he or she state that himself or herself . But a Central executive committee member of PPP , close to zardari was highly suspicious that Farhatullah Babar was a Qadiani and told me that himself some time back .

Senator Babar raises objections over army deployment in Saudi Arabia

Senator Farhatullah Babar on Friday raised objections over the army's deployment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), terming the development as "tantamount to bypassing the parliament".Drawing the attention of the House to the matter, Senator Babar called the deployment to Saudi an issue of public importance. He said he had also given an adjournment notice to discuss the issue.

Earlier on Thursday, the army announced that it was deploying troops in Saudi Arabia under an existing bilateral security pact. The army made it clear that its contingent in KSA will take part in training and advice mission. “In continuation of ongoing Pak-KSA bilateral security cooperation, a Pakistan Army contingent is being sent to KSA on training and advice mission,” the Inter-Services Public Relations had announced after a meeting between Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Bajwa and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki at the General Headquarters.

Referring to the ISPR announcement, he said that the development came after a meeting between the COAS and the Saudi ambassador which was preceded by a recent three-day visit — the second in two months — "quietly" undertaken to Saudi Arabia. He maintained that the number of troops being sent is unknown but the disclosure that it will be less than a division "indicated that almost a full-fledged army division is being sent to the Kingdom".

Going after the Foreign Office, the senator termed its condemnations against Houthi missile attacks as "nuanced statements", alleging that the FO has been paving the way and providing false justifications for the development."The deliberately nuanced FO statements condemning the Houthi missile attacks as a threat to the Kingdom and Holy Mosques also seem aimed at justifying sending of Pakistani troops to Saudi Arabia for active engagement in the conflict.""Has anyone given a serious thought to its grave consequences?" he asked.

Referred to the parliament's unanimous "resolution seeking strict neutrality" in connection with the conflict, he asked who was making "unilateral" decisions, which bypass the parliament.Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani then summoned Defence Minister Khurrum Dastagir. The minister is expected to appear before the Senate on Monday to deliver a policy statement on the recent development.

Saudi Arabia has been demanding deployment of Pakistani troops since the start of the Yemen conflict in 2015, but Pakistan has been struggling to evade the demand despite a unanimously adopted parliamentary resolution affirming the country’s “neutrality” in the conflict.

Last year, Pakistan sent its retired army chief Gen Raheel Sharif to lead a Saudi coalition. Therefore, it was always speculated that the deployment would take place even though it could not happen as quickly as the Saudis wantedThe ISPR insists that the new deployment and nearly 1,000 Pakistani troops already stationed there would not be “employed outside KSA”.

There was no word on the size of the deployment.

Re: Senator Farhattulah Babar should first Deny rumours about himself as being a Qadiani before criticizing Pakistan military deployment in Saudi Arabia .

As a pakistani citizen he has all the right to ask question and it has nothing to do with religion. Fatima Ali jinnah was alse labelled qadiani and raw agent when she decided to fight election againt Ayub.

Who told you Fatima Jinnah was a labelled as Qadiani , I accompanied my dad in 1964 as he was voting for her .You are young to live that but can still read good books and not rely on TV anchors who are merely agents of this or that .

Farhat tullah Babar if a Qadiani indeed has no right what ever to criticize a deal between two islamic states .

People have the right to ask questions. As long as these soldiers are not used against a third country then there is no issue.Pakistan needs good relations with all muslim countries especially countries with sizeable populations like Iran,Turkey,Indonesia and Egypt etc.The main threat to Pakistan and other muslims is from Israeli-Indian nexus so they need to co-operate each other.

I do not think that Pakistan has any big role to play unless houthis attack Saudia , when to defend sunni control of holy sites is the rightful duty of every sunni as there is really no other original brand .

Pakistan fought a war in Afghanistan which was even not our war and it brought terrorism weapon and drugs into our country and it is haunting us ever since ---- Aur hum duniya Kay mamay nahi hein ---- We should only protect our own land ---- These Budu Arabs would fight their own war.

Question to Sheikh Sahab. Is there any other superior institution than Parliament?
in the life of a Muslim the injunction of Quran and sunah are at much much higher level than acts of parliament , I do not believe in democracy , shura of Islam is not modern parliament , it is an an advanced party of thinkers , rightful persons ,skilled and representatives and acknowledged local Lords and technocrats and moral leaders. Frankly we supported Zia coup and feel very proud we tried to make this country strong and more Islamic .parliament has no sanctity for me , Islamic injunctions have all of that .

Buddy kindly refrain from using words like Badu etc....since that's also stereotypical. But I do agree with you. This Ummah Ummah drama doesn't work in real life. Ye dunya ka mama bunne ki training schools ki textbooks may daydee jati hain. Koi ye nahi butata key Ottomans khud aapas may aik dosre ko marwakar takht tak pohanchte rahe, for instance.

Paanch waqt ki azaan sunne ko milti hay Pakistan may. Al-Madina, Al-Emaan, Al-Kareem waghera jaise naamoun ke businesses hain her koone per...lekin iske bawajood pollution, corruption , rising crime aur milawat say bhara samaan. Kya Allah SWT ke kalaam may :naooz: koi nuqs hay ya hum khud Quranic teachings aur messages ko violate karte hain?

Ab agar aapka koi favorite chef hay tau aapke ghar per aakar tau woh cooking karne say raha. Aap uske shows dekhkar he recipe tayyar kareinge na. Waise he Pakistan aur dosre Muslim majority mumalik ko bhi aik dosre aur developed nations ki strategies aur patterns say sabaq lena hoga.
