SEP 15 The Sindh government will spend Rs 43 cores on the development project of shrines and graveyard of the Bhutto family in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
Besides executed former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, his father Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto, daughter Benazir Bhutto, sons Murtaza Bhutto and Shahnawaz Bhutto including his Bhuttos first wife Khurshid Begum are buried in the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh graveyard in the oustskirts of Larkana in interior Sindh.
The only surviving member of the second generation Bhuttos Sanam Bhutto, sister of Benazir Bhutto lives in London and remains apolitical.
Sindh Minister for Works and Services Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that the development project of shrines and graveyard of the Bhutto family in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh will be executed on 28 acres of land at a cost of Rs 432 million.

Wassan, who is also the head of the committee constituted for the development of Bhutto family shrines and graveyard, was chairing a meeting at his office, said a statement on Tuesday.
He said that the map of the project was prepared with the consent of Benazir Bhutto (late) in her lifetime.
Sindh Ministers Agha Siraj Durrani, Dr Zulfikar Mirza, Murad Ali Shah and Ayaz Soomro were also present in the meeting.
An amount of Rs 76 million was approved for the project in the budget of 2008-09, while another amount of Rs 100 million has been approved for it in the 2009-10 budget that has been spent on the project, the minister noted.
He said the project includes accommodation facilities for local and foreign visitors, offices, special security arrangements and boundary wall for public gatherings.
The meeting was also attended by Secretary Works Mukhtiyar Soomro and concerned officials
