* COAS says US, Pakistan have ‘different long-term goals’ in Afghanistan

LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani has strongly rejected allegations that Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency – the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) – is pursuing double standards in the war on terror, reported a private TV channel on Wednesday.

Addressing senior journalists in Kakool, Gen Kayani said that Pakistan Army had made more sacrifices than the coalition forces in the war on terrorism. He said Pakistan and the US had “different long-term goals” in Afghanistan.

Kayani said more than 2,000 officers and soldiers had been killed and 6,000 injured in the restive tribal belt. He said 73 intelligence officials had also been killed in the war on terror in Pakistan, while 11 had been killed in Afghanistan.

The COAS said huge quantities of arms and ammunition had been seized from Swat over the last two-and-a-half months in search-and-clearance operations.

If ISI is so sweet and innocent.. there are other cases like LAL Mosque, etc... that point towards ISI Double Game.

ISI is a Institute that runs independent from Government of Pakistan... Full Stop.

As a whole we have given more sacrifices than the combined sacrifices of the whole world in this war against terrorism and thats a slap on our enemies faces.......

Yes there would be some elements in ISI which are working for RAW and this incident proves it, that such elements are working for our enemies, and everyone know which countries started targeting pakistan just after this happened...

Brother agreed that US would listen anyone who is giving statement against Pakistan but would not listen to Alex Jonson and Webster Taplay.

But I am happy that US should come in conflict with Pakistan because in this way we might get rid off from these US bast*rds.

We are already dieing for nothing in an undeclared war, so why not get "Shahada" in a declared war with US or any other attacker..... So let US attack & then see

I had this hunch for a while, it is going to happen, Tarpley was right, and they had Pakistan in their sights for a long time. They were little apprehensive from the consequences, but now after our leaders dithering and cowardice, they have realised Pakistan would be easy.

This is the time to act tough with Americans, do or die no other options. Those who say in TV programs to scare people America would attack or war would break out if we act this way. They are on USA payroll. If they think China and Russian will keep quite, they are mistaken; attacking Pakistan or Iran will end up in World War III.

China and Russia are not stupid; they know if they give Americans the chance now, they would be next one by one. Pakistan is a major country; it is not that easy to attack it. These cowards should have bottle.

Americans know they can not afford expensive wars, especially if China and Russia are involved. If these countries along with Iran, Venezuela, and Libya decided to ditch the dollar, American would be finished petty rapidly. China supply most of the goods to them, and oil from these three countries make most of world export. In the case of war with Pakistan or world war III, Pakistan should threaten Saudi Arabia and Gulf poodles to ditch the dollar immediately or threat them with imminent danger. They can go to their masters for solace who would be busy itself. But if these traitors join hands and start demanding the payments in another currency for the oil, USA is history.

People just don't realise how vulnerable America is due to the weakness of the dollar and its dependence on foreign trade. The day Americans have to pay for oil, goods and services in any other currency than over printed worthless dollars not back by any hard guarantees, their empire will collapse, guaranteed.

People like Hasan Nisar do not understand ABC of Economy; the currency had to have a back up. The currency notes are just promissory notes not real money. They are promise by the state banks to pay the holders equivalent substitute of that worthless paper money. This is usually backed by bullion and foreign currency reserves. American is short on gold too. In seventies Nixon broke the link of Dollars to the Gold, ever since, Dollars slowly and gradually are becoming worthless junk money. The only thing keeping them float is because of its status as world reserve currency. Due to it status, Americans can print and pay for imported goods and services, oil and also for expensive wars on foreign soils. When they dont have this ability, they wouldnt be able to wage wars in other countries. Just imagine if Americans had to pay trillions in Iraq and Afghan wars from their foreign currency reserves in another currency or commodities. Would they be able to continue these wars even for one year?

Afghanistan had been a graveyard of empires, we are about to add another name to the list, Inshallah.

Army is getting what it has done. And they will keep gettin maligned until they dont show the nation that they will not repeat the mistake which i cannot see happening. So untill then they are getting the heat and they should take the heat of the nation. About sharfoo he is the most sick general the army could have. But his mentality is of the same like any other general. They think they are the most genious even though they are the most dumb.

Bhai aap bhi siyasatdaan bun gaye ho............... you didn't comment about the ex-chief defaming Pakistan Army?
