how can he go inside and touch things these should be considered as forensic items these are evidences .
This case seems to be an open shut case as everything was done in public. They would have required forensic evidence if police was not able to identify any culprit.

still you take all belongings in to custody and cordon off area . because during the trail a small doubt can change whole story of case and can raise reasonable doubts .
