Recent attacks on Siasat.pk website

im wondering who is responsible... certainly PML(N) gooons dont have the mental capacity to do it.... my take is other competitor blogging websites

i dont think it takes that much amount of money for such an attack?? if its just a denial of service attack....

Right after the Lahore Jalsa Shehbaz Sharif had a meeting with IT experts to start a campaign against IK online. I will post the articles in my next posts as a proof. Why would they go after siasat.pk?? This is the MOST 'active' discussion forum on the internet on Pakistani politics.(NO MATTER WHAT THE ADMIN SAYS, THEY DO SEEM TO BE TILTING AND SUPPORTING PTI) On average, there are over 800-1200 visiting this site at a time. Go to this link and go to the very bottom of the page and you will see what I am talking about.

even right now it isn't a peak time, look at the mind boggling stats

yesterday at peak time, pakistan time 8 pm, there wree 2000 people were browsing

I know a few well known journalists, anchors who visit this site to get an idea of what people are thinking.

Also the budget he mentioned about of 600-800 dollars, no competitor of this niche can afford per day. It has to be some political party and we all know who is after IK these days.

Our site has been constantly under attack recently because someone thinks we are supporting PTI. We are a public run discussion forum. Hows is it our fault if majority of the members are PTI supporters.
100s of Dollars are being spent DAILY to keep our site down(according to our server guys it costs around 600-800 dollar per day to create such an attack)

Seriously who has such a budget to keep just one site down?

If you have an issue why not talk to us directly? Instead of taking the cheap route.

Last month, party chief Nawaz Sharif set up a committee that included MNAs, party officials and IT experts to determine why Imran Khans Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) was doing so well among young people, where the PML-N was going wrong, and how to remedy this. Following the PTIs impressive rally at Minar-i-Pakistan last Sunday, largely attended by young people, the committees task has taken on even greater urgency.
Sources in the party told The Express Tribune that the committee, which included people with expertise in psychology and anthropology, had made recommendations on how to capture the youth vote and the PML-N was preparing to act on them.

Only the bhatta mafia has this power. But seriously, all this money being thrown to take down siasat.pk is not a good approach just to lower the count of PTI supporters.

Siasat.pk managment should appraoch the media with regards to the recent attacks

Who ever is doing this will get serios warning. And I think they can also file an FIR, which will make it a cyber crime.

If somone big is involved then that individual or political party will back off because they will have something to lose.

Plus, you will also get some coverage and that means free advertisment, which will propel your users.

Write emails to TV news channels...they will eat it up.

I am a very long time visitor of this site.*

This site used to be PTI Vs MQM and now it has turned into PTI vs PMLN. The biasness is definitely there.*

For those who are saying It is mqm guys who are doing this, please trust and believe me, if they wanted they would have done it long time ago when it was PTI vs MQM site but they took the dirty route.*

Recently PMLN is trying to be very active on social media, so there is my guess.

Cyber Space is not someone's property , if any one is trying to break in and bring down the site , then go for the appropriate measures , INSTEAD of creating an issue.

Adeel, who you think is most hurt from PTI and IK's popularity? PMLN, is the answer, their leaders are attacking PTI and its supporters all the time in the media, mostly using lies. Their lies are encouraging an independent like me to write against PMLN.

Like you said, individual don't have this kind of money, or they wouldn't be bothered to spend their hard earned money on such vicious attacks. It has to be an organisation or party which has huge budgets to waste on such propaganda tactics.
shame on PMLN and their thugs. This is my honest opinion.

They were ddos attacka before but some how we were able to manage, now they are targetting mysql and that is quite expensive. No competitor blogging site can afford it.

Adeel, I am kinda in the technology, there are people with ethics and never misuse their knowledge, but then there are some who are dogs. I get your point and understand. But don't worry, evil never succeed.

90% of the time all the content posted is against PMLN & mqm. I have never ever came across something against PTI. Do you mind answer this question?
