MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reportedly decided to boycott by-elections in National Assembly constituency, NA-149 Multan II, vacated by its disgruntled president Javed Hashmi.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has set Oct 16 for the election.

Hashmi had vacated the seat by quitting his National Assembly membership earlier this month.

According to sources, Imran Khans PTI is contemplating to boycott the votes; however, no formal decision has so far been announced.

PTIs Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi confirmed that his party would not field any candidate in the constituency, saying that party leaders would make a final decision in this regard.

After Islamabad and Karachi, Qureshi said, a protest sit-in will also be staged in Multan. - Samaa

Bro, they resigned from NA, Punjab and Sindh assemblies because they dont trust the election commission and they wanna change the electoral system..now IF they decided to contest on an NA seat again..then they would've been branded Hypocrities and liars kinda rightly so! if they have taken a stand then stand by it. This is what PTI and IK's majority Politics are based on.
