My city has gas while cantt. Area has no gas yet. Govt. Salary is same across the board if same grade.

They are in waziristan by choice or by force they don't enjoy such facilities. Waziristan was just an example. What about thousands of others serving on Indian border, siachin, Kashmir FATA ETC?

they are doing their jobs and that's a good thing.
this is what they should do.
this is what police is doing .performing duties in areas where common man cant go.
performing duties in very hot and cold weather in cities in villages everywhere.
this is what rescue 1122 is doing and many other .........

you raise your objection on their perks. My reply was that they are performing their duties in areas where they dont get the perks you have objected.

Once again about gas, in my city Army area don't have gas while civilian areas have.

Check bank accounts of grade 17 Police officer and that of an Army man.

I bet if you have ever travelled on 50-year Old, Noisy Cargo plane like C-130 ... you would not ride it again :P Military persons only opt it when in far off places with no good road or rail service .... Also there are limited seats ... very few even officers really avail it.
As far as Rail and PIA is concerned ... the visits on concessional rates are limited to (I guess) 6 roundtrips per year ... not unlimited.
Military is being run much more professionally than rotting Civil institutions .... Fix them up first .. only then it will be morally right to point fingers to better managed institutions ... I dream of that day when Civilians are up to that level ... that will be great day for Pakistan!

Now here is my take - a professional comparison between international student / overseas employee with minimum benefits to none in majority of nations.
The assisted batman / extra pair of hands catering to lavish Pakistani family is out of question!
The salary is when compared to convert ion exchange rate or none or simply with lifestyles in West most overseas families are escape goats.
Lastly the basic facility provided for at ease by government of Pakistan is compared to UK government housing on request which can be a room to an apartment maximum is the most UK cities can host. Simply.
