Etisalat, today announced that from July 1, eLife and standalone landline subscribers will enjoy free national calls across the UAE to landline telephones in addition to the free local calls that they already enjoy.
The telecom major also launched the regions first High Definition (HD) voice for eLife landlines. By July, Etisalat will release a lineup of HD telephones to support this new innovation.
Rashed Al Abbar, Vice President, Home Services, Etisalat, said: As a tribute to our nations great leaders and to the spirit of unity in our country that binds all residents, Etisalat launched this new service for home customers across all emirates. UAE residents can enjoy free-of-charge calls with advanced HD quality when they call any landline number. This new service will be available to all customers for calls made from their home to any other landline telephone within the UAE.
Speaking on the HD Voice feature, Al Abbar said: We are also excited about the new High Definition Voice feature. Just like HD TV transformed customers experience, High Definition Voice will alter the customer call experience forever.
All eLife customers will automatically avail the free national calls and the HD voice quality without any change in monthly rental charges.
The charge for standalone landline customers, who are not elife subscribers, will be revised to AED 39 per month. More details about the new eLife bundle are available on the eLife page on the Etisalat website.
Subscribers can also avail of the favorite country plan which provides excellent savings for customers who make frequent calls to a specific country. Etisalat customers, who call friends and family in different countries, can avail of the Super off-peak plan. This provides discounted rates on calls made from their home landline. Etisalats Advanced Star Package provides different bundled services enabling conference calls, call waiting/barring and call forwarding features.
eLife is based on Next Generation Fiber Optic Technology which capitalizes on Etisalats superior telecom infrastructure, enabling a better customer experience through high-quality services and ability to service increasingly higher number of subscribers. Etisalat recently invested AED 19 billion in fiber optics network across UAE ranking the country as number one in FTTH installation globally.
Etisalats global subscriber base exceeds 125 million subscribers. Some of the telecom majors achievements in the ICT sector include the rolling out the regions first 4G LTE network and providing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment across 1.3 million homes in the country. This achievement contributed to UAE being ranked as a global leader in connecting homes in the country on the FTTH network, as per a recent industry report.
