I dont think that MQM will put any roadblocks to PTI rally - thats a good practical long term political strategy and they also are mindful of the negative publicity they got after the May 12 incident.

100% agreed.
I should be and must be like that. The devided vote among PPP, PTI, and ANP in those areas will only benefit MQM. Smart strategy of MQM.
Even MQM should send their workers and supporters to PTI jalsa as much as possible. That way the whole country will be impressed, and PTI will perform well in the next election in all over the country.

Yes we hate MQM. but one point we should consider is that there was a time middle-class and educated people of Karachi were struggling to get jobs bcuz of quote system. They were pushed towards wall and a propaganda was built against them (just like yahoodi lobby) they were labeled as pro indian. This caused a big phenomena within the middle class of karachiites when they were jobless and on top of that when Bhutto implemented quota system and called them traitors they were hijacked by MQM. Now this is happening again the way media is trying to portray PTI as establishment party and this is where they are doing another big mistake.

If you take away the politics of violence and intimidation practiced by MQM then it seems that PTI and MQM are natural allies.

The problem is that the ethnicity based exploitation has given way to wide scale exploitation and doesn't stop at ethnic boundaries - exploiters and exploited belong to all ethnic groups. In my opinion MQM has not evolved its message and has not reflected the educated/middle/lower middle class population which is supposed to be ahead of the curve. I believe the biggest problem that it faced is that it was fell victim to the personality worship that we pakistanis are so prone to. It has become Altaf Hussain party - and that has hurt it and prevented it from achieving its true potential. Altaf Hussain never graduated from the politics of the late 70s or the 80s and his self imposed exile has not helped matters.

My prediction is that IF PTI wins the election and forms the government they will put down stringent conditions on an alliance with MQM and that will include abandoning the politics of violence and dropping Altaf as the leader or at least having a low profile role.

Karachi is the stronghold of MQM ; we accept it. but holding Jalsa
at Karachi is not harming MQM.

MQM will not put any hurdles in the way of holding Jalsa at Karachi because
it will harm MQM only.

Be the supporter and voter of Imran Khan only to make Pakistan a prosperous
