Mustafa Kamal according to Indian newspaper and journalist

Here is what an Indian newspaper and journalist (Sunil Sethi) has to say on Mustafa Kamal, excerpt of the relevant parts of the article (written on 3rd April 2010) in Business Standard:
"What a surprise, then, to find Karachi looking in better shape than before. New flyovers, better traffic management, improved electricity supply in slums and buzzing cafes with women dressed in casual western clothes (an increasingly uncommon sight elsewhere in the country) not to speak of an ornamental fountain that shoots hundred feet from the sea in Clifton seafront (Karachis Marine Drive) as a symbol of its revival. Bomb blasts and murky politics, like a transient Arabian Sea tide, seem temporarily at ebb.
By all accounts, much of the credit for the citys reform goes to its outgoing nazim, or mayor, the pro-active youthful Mustafa Kamal. Although a dyed-in-the-wool, risen-from-the-ranks MQM man, the 50-year-old Kamal, educated in Malaysia and Wales, is hard-working (in office at 7 am everyday), approachable (his widespread popularity) and clean (no scandal in a corrupt metropolis). He has been voted as one of the best city mayors in Asia in recent polls.
I met him him at the opening of the first Karachi Literature Festival, a co-venture between the Oxford University Press, headed by OUPs dynamic Ameena Saiyid and British Council Pakistan, and perfectly on cue, he said: I have heard about the success of the Jaipur lit fest. This event is inspired by Jaipur because its important for Karachi to turn the page. Mustafa Kamal has recently had to demit office because, as with so many appointments in Pakistan, he owed his office to the dispensation of Musharraf. Given his MQM political base though, it is widely believed that he will make a resounding comeback.
This is good news for a metropolis of 16 million that is Pakistans financial centre, largest seaport and most cosmopolitan yet beleaguered face. Karachi is also the countrys richest city with a great deal of Gulf money rolling about. In the spreading acres of the suburb known as Defence (Parts I to VIII) are villas of a scale and ostentation and still coming up at great pace that would be unimaginable in much of metropolitan India. In fact, in most big cities they are coming down to be replaced by apartments. Not surprising, therefore, that the most incredulous question a young journalist asked was: Is it true that movie stars like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan live in flats?

There is no denying of the talents that Mk has.

Actually MK stayed city Nazim even months after finishing his tenure but when Govt. announced that elections will be held in future for next Nazim then he had to leave because election under his administration could have been one sided so that Lala was brought in his place but another thing to consider here is that so far despite of all this Lala's situation still we didnt heard of any incident(except this one) where we could blame him like we use to blame MK so this means that someone else is controlling the situation so that everything moves smoothly and that someone is most probably Governer Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad because he is the second most competent person available in place of MK so far...

You're partly right, From construction of different projects[flyovers on Shahrae Faisal] to monitoring KESC[electricity loadshedding] situation, are being looked after by Governor Sindh[for which he deserves our appreciation], apart from Islamabad conferences the CM Sindh is MIA[missing in action]. Recently P.A to Fazlur Rehman admitted due to 'personal reasons', Fazlur Rehman has in total sat in his office for just 13 days since his tenure started. THE NEWS reported 4 days back after Lalaji was seen on media as a drunkard:

Acting city administrator on the cards

By our correspondent

Karachi Administrator Lala Fazlur Rehman is currently admitted at the Aga Khan University Hospital, and there is a strong chance that an acting administrator might take over the charge. This was stated by Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman when The News inquired about Lala’s health and his treatment at the hospital. Rehman further added that the change would be made with the consent of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

You're partly wrong as Governor and MQM still cannot completely handle the problems occuring in Karachi since Mustafa Kamal abdicated and People party 's cronies still want 'more'. Around 40% of Karachi has'nt been able to receive water supply for the last 3 weeks they have changed the M.D of KWSB and brought a Sindhi by the name of Sajid Hussain Abbasi, and we are back to the mismanagement that was part of our lives before Mustafa bhai even Naimatullah Khan in 2002. The inefficiency that we thought was past us is again started to hurt us, Peoples Party neither in name or in work is looked favorably by Pakistanis as well as people abroad and as long as they are govt. if you want development, better living standard and prosperity for Pakistan then keep Peoples party away from you as far as possible.
@GeoG and others, you can bad-mouth Mustafa Kamal all you want, but your commentary spews of provincialism, does'nt add any value and [as you think] would not change anyone's mind, if Nawaz league and Peoples party wants to defeat Mustafa bhai then bring someone better than him more engaged in people's everyday problems, I've experienced Mustafa bhai and his party's governance and today when I have no water supply for a week in my home it looks like the golden era compared to now.

What can I say about blind haters here let them burn in hatred and disrespect against him no reason why they still had to live outside Pakistan for living good life as in Pakistan they disrespect those who are best for their work...
It is said that ignorance is a bliss but they dont get it anyways...
