Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, Mohtamim of Darul Uloom Deoband has been invited by the Saudi Authorities to participate in the Kaaba washing ceremony which was held on Thursday 1 Shaban 1433 = 21 June 2012.

Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, Mohtamim of Darul Uloom Deoband has been invited by the Saudi Authorities to participate in the Kaaba washing ceremony which was held on Thursday 1 Shaban 1433 = 21 June 2012.

On the occasion of the washing ceremony of holy Kaaba, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invites the towering personalities of the world each year. [HI]It's a matter of honour that this year, Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani Qasmi, the Head of famous Islamic University: Darul Uloom, Deoband (India) was also invited to participate in the washing ceremony of the holy Kaaba.[/HI]

[HI]It is notable that washing the Kaaba is Sunnah of The Prophet Muhammad pbuh as Hepbuh washed the Holy Kaaba after the Victory of Makkah in eight Hijri.[/HI]

Now the holy Kaabah is washed twice in a lunar calendar. The first washing ceremony is held on 1st Shaabaan (the 8th month of lunar calendar), while the second one is held on 1st Dul-Hijjah (the 12th month lunar calendar)​
