"On the 10th of June 2011, I Moin Khan, a Pakistani citizen, packed up all my belongings and set off from San Francisco United States on a solo bike tour, to Lahore Pakistan in an endeavour to return to my motherland. My agenda and mission were simple to promote a soft image of Pakistan, to project to the world the peace loving nature of the vast silent majority that resides within our country.As you are aware, Pakistanis the world over are seen and treated with suspicion due to the negative news that filters through the world media about our country. My journey across 3 continents and 20 countries has been to dispel this negative image of our country and to bridge the gap that resides both within the minds of people abroad and those within Pakistan who view the rest of the world with a negative mindset. I have met some incredible people of all nationalities, ethnicities, religions who have showered great kindnesses upon this complete stranger and amassed a treasure trove of stories and anecdotes from my travels that I have been sharing with thousands of people across the world and in Pakistan.As a Pakistani, I was deeply disturbed by the fact that after having been shown cooperation and extra ordinary kindnesses by governments and people of over 20 countries, the Pakistan customs at the Iran/Pak border (Taftan) restricted the entry of my bike into Pakistan.
