He's right! But it was debt-fueled growth. It's a piece of cake to achieve high growth with debt. If you take that impact out then it reduces to half.

Understand it with a simple example. You are making 1 Lakh Rupees a month. But then you get a loan from the bank for additional 1 Lakh. Now you can buy more cars, appliances etc. Your neighbors will say your standard of living is growing fast.
