Military meeting: Commanders to craft response to pressure

ISLAMABAD: The military top brass is holding intense consultations within its own ranks as well as with some important civilian personalities to craft a response to outside pressure resulting from Osama bin Laden’s killing in a US operation.
Top military officials have been holding marathon meetings in the GHQ discussing the situation. A meeting of corps commanders is also likely to take place in a day or two to deliberate on the event’s fallout.
Lt-Gen Shuja Pasha, the ISI chief, would brief the commanders on the details of the incident and his interaction with the US officials.
Pasha had visited the US a few days before the Abbotabad operation where he had held important meetings with top officials.
It is learnt that Army Chief General Parvez Kayani is regularly holding meetings not only with his military officials including heads of intelligence agencies but also with some civilian foreign policy experts these days.

Collective response from the Nation

At the very least someone should take responsibility. As a journalist commented on the web today: General Kayani and General Pasha, either give the Pakistan nation the heads of the TTP on a silver platter, or resign.

Much chanted Ghariat mantra demands resignation of Kiyana, Pasha and top generals. They should be tried under treason for harboring Osama. Nothing less will repair the damage of Osamas presence in Abbotabad and US operation. Do they have that much Ghariat? We know they would not, as they are there to run real estate cartel not for our defense. Why now, Why a this consultation process was not initiated prior to taking letting US destroy our sovereignty; Military might now wishes civilians to share the fall out of such an idiotic step allowed by the Army Generals.

They all must accept responsibility either it was an intelligence failure or it was a will full harboring of Bin Laden. In either case Both Kayani and Pash must step down.
There is no shortage of talented generals in the Army, after all the Army kept ongoing after the sad demise of 30 generals who died with Zia. This is right time for these so called brains of army to step down and fade away with the coming times. Nation can not bear the load of their experimentation i.e., Kargil adventure and now Bin Laden.
those who know American believe that US could not send their choppers deep inside Pakistan mearly relying upon radar jamming. Nation can not be fooled any more, the details of deal must be disclosed to the Nation or else time will settle its own account.

These Pathetic souls are directly responsible for the mess Pakistani found itself. Rather than getting their asses together and formulating a response to outside world, These Sobs should come to their own citizens and explain the Foreign Incursion of few Helicopters which remained on pakistani territories for hours, conducted a search operation next to the army acedemy , killed several people, took their bodies along and none of the security personnels were ever woken up to find it ..... Instead of having meetings and working lunch from the begging funds provided by the foreign masters, they should resigned their posts and should be held accountable for such a massive security lapse. I found they are completely incompetence, Lazy and scared . They do not deserve to be holding the higher posts which they are holding. If one counts the total incompetence and neglegence from these corrupt Generals, the story begins from even before the fall of Dhakka and the last thing added up to this long list of total failure was the release of CIA agent not too long ago. I never trusted the political and military leadership of Pakistan and I am getting more prooof of their sell off every day.

Let us be very clear about our army. They will never ever leave the corridors of power. They will try to come up with any explanation there brilliant minds can come up with. Which is most of the times the most stupid. But for sure they will not step down or even do an inquiry.
We should not try to fool ourself. Our army is self obsessed, and they think of themself as the most genious people. and they have been trying to experiment on pakistan since last 60 years and this is where we have reached. If some one would have created an independent commission to ask about kargil. And put responsibility on the army. They might would have something to think of.
Why would army even think of giving a reply to the nation. They dont give a damn cause they know no one in the entire nation can do anything against them. They will keep getting the budget, they will getting all the money they want and thats it. And yes they might again try to overthrough the government by putting a blame on them.
I cannot imagine such sick mentality in any other army. So much arrogance and negligence to there own country men.
