Really liked Iftikhar Ahmed's views that media should now give more space to the problems of masses instead of giving too non issues just for the sake of there own ratings. Corruption of a bureaucrat is and corruption of a politician are equal, thn why our media highlight one and almost ignore other's crime??
I really appreciate Talat's efforts to conduct a programme which really showed the way how and what should be shown. I think all the anchor person's are very knowledgeable and they know what are the real problems are. But I MUST add, that its good we watch this programme and all the Anchors discussed it. What is next now. Would we notice any change, at least we should see the change in these 5 Anchor's programmes. Otherwise, this is not a different thing other than that Talat did a programme and the rest attended. " khel Khatam paisa hazam". Please for God sake Change the mind set of people, by what Iftikhar of Geo pointed out.......................

Hi big guys. I give you some suggestions. all of you deliver programs on (Chatrol) of police. but no made any efforts to make complaint office separate and police station. Like all the developed countries have.
I opened an account in UBL three years ago while visited there. They withdraw 30% my money illegally. I want to close that account they refused that too. I wrote state bank, some minister and UBL only one response got from UBL that they forward my complain in 4 months they did not do any thing. If this thing happen in Canada with me I can call to Ministry of consumer and write away they solve my problem on phone.
I mean there is no system availing in Pakistan which made improvement in their departments.
I worked in different department in Pakistan, I know most of them very stupid. if you want I can explain it very well.
Good program need some more like that. Thanks.

One of the best programs presented by non other than the most talented and established objective journalist of Pakistan, Mr Talat Hussain. Its been great to see lots of soul searching by the elite moderators of the talk shows in electronic media of current day Pakistan. Majority of journalists who now appear on the electronic media and especially on TVs now seems to have become showmen in pursuit of more publicity and fame and by doing this eventually they have become the shadow of their former selves most notably one can recall the distinguished name of Dr Shahid Masood.
More an less I agree to the main critical points of the debate presented in this show and want to add this point that the element of investigative and objective journalism seems to be absent in almost off these programs nowadays with the rare exception of Talats talk shows, though he do tends to sway by his strong emotions which pertains to some specific issues such as the use of unjustified violence by the Pakistani establishment against its own citizens around the country. The modern day media stalwarts like these who are appearing in the prime time current affair programs have to cultivate this objective and investigative journalism into the minds of its recipients.
Last but surely not least the glaring confessions of these lead anchors on the subject of the docile nature of the producers of these talk shows have shocked me with a great deal of perplexity. Considering the fact that the producer should indeed be the captain of the ship and have to call for his shots in his program along with the positive collusion and coalesce of ideas of the supposed lead anchor of that program. The content of the debate has to be improvised and new dimensions of seemingly repetitive topics have to be focused with perfect competence and expertise by such seasoned journalist-cum-anchors. Only then they can retain the freshness in their programs and can keep their audiences engrossed like they used to do just couple of years ago.
In the last segment of this debate I liked the inquisitive query of Talat when he said to his co-anchors that are we holding such kind of discussions which generate pearls of wisdom and concrete knowledge for the viewers or are we just producing run of the mill substandard dialectic discourse which induces nothing but a sense of cheap satisfaction from those heated and highly derogatory debates of the participants. The obvious answer again one can relate to the later part of the above query and which is highly unfortunate that most of these so called high profile political talk shows are just wasting the precious time of their intelligent viewers who might forsake these all talk shows in the near future as expressed by one of these lead anchors in this program.
