Dr Shahid Masood should refrain from commenting on what he does not know. We certainly trust and like our armed forces and Gen. Janjua must be an excellent choice for the National Security Advisor, but Sartaj Aziz should not be belittled by Shahid Masood.

There can be no doubt that Sartaj Aziz is a national asset. He is a very strong personality, no less than many generals together. He has a great experience, has a very strong common sense, a very bright mind, a global view of the politics and economics, and above all fearless in giving his opinions on merit. He has a great sense of duty towards Pakistan. We must respect, appreciate and support Sartaj Saheb. I have no personal relationship to Sartaj Saheb and nothing to gain from him. As a nation, we must learn to respect our national treasures. There will be nothing wrong if Shahid Masood refrains from such comments in future and apologizes publically to Sartaj Aziz for his comments. While commenting, Shahid Masood sometimes forgets that he is on a tv screen and not standing on a pan shop, or in a taxi giving his free comments to the taxi driver or standing on a corner of a road in Bhati Gate.
