Police arrested former MNA Liaquat Bhatti on charges of imprisoning his 13-year-old housemaid

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Police raided the residence of the former MNA in Johar Town and recovered a 13-year-old girl who was working at his residence as a maid.
Police took action on a complaint filed by relatives of the girl in which they said that the girl has been allegedly subjected to torture and later was imprisoned at the MNAs house.
The police team conducted a raid and found 13-year-old Shahida chained in the servant quarter on the second floor of the residence. Her arms and feet were tied with chains.
The girl told the police that her father had taken a loan from the former MNA and when he was not able to repay it, she was left at his residence and confined.
According to the former MNA, Liaqat Abbas Bhatti, Shahidas father had left her at their residence on his own free will and she was bound by another servant. Bhatti has been taken into police custody.
Police say that a case would be registered after a medical examination of the girl was conducted.

Bhatti is a very large caste/clan, should be more careful with the language and not generalise to cause offence.

I do sympathize with typical troll style ignorance. Most trolls have absolutely no ground level knowledge of politics and politicians and rely exclusively on whatever snippets of information they can get from google. But even a proper google search would have clearly shown Liaquat Bhatti, his brother Mehdi Hassan Bhattai and nephew Shaukat Bhatti's affiliation with PTI.

The whole Hafizabad-Pindi Bhattian knows all about the political affiliation of these Bhattis and there were even protest demonstrations by PTI Hafizabad members when Liaquat and Mehdi Hassan joined PTI. But I guess most trolls would not even know where Hafizabad is.

It is normal practice that parents took their salaries of whole year in advance and leave their children to work as slaves, even in Lahore there are agents who bring kids from villages for household works and took their commissions....
