corruption starts from TOP level & if top level are not corrupt then no Corruption ... there is no comparison of IK with others Political Mafias ....... therefore, we need to leave the corrupt leaders first ....

News came from a twitter account i guess. And news cannot always be reliable, so please stop taking them damn seriously, although they should be taken as 50 50 when it refers to a future happening..

seriously? that's your defend?

It wasn't a defend. it was an advice. I won't defend the corrupt elements, i would love them to be kicked out of the party, but all i said that the news(specially about future happenings) may not always come out true, so we should wait for the actual happening of that event, It may come in a day or in a week.

WHAT ABOUT 22 billion NEELUM JEHLUM SCANDAL . . .

ISLAMABAD: While the Nawaz government is trying hard to brush the Nandipur power project scam under the carpet, a report on the huge 157 percent increase in its cost has unveiled another scam of Rs22.5 billion.

It has been revealed that the government has committed gross violations of PPRA rules and awarded the contract to a non-responsive bidder, a Chinese company, for dispersal of electricity to be produced from the Rs274 billion power project.

The report has been produced by retired General Shahid, ex-member Planning Commission (Monitoring). He also interviewed Mr Munawar Baseer who pointed out the unjustified increase of 157 percent in the revised cost of the project. His report was shared with the Prime Minister but not with the media.

The said Chinese company, China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd (CGGCL), is already taking part in completing the much delayed Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project that is now scheduled to come on stream with electricity generation of 969 MW by December 2015.

The Senate committee on water and power that met here with Senator Zahid Khan in the chair also came down heavily on secretary water and power and NTDC managing director for flouting the PPRA rules. The senator threatened to move the Supreme Court if the government continued to stick to its stance.

Senator Zahid Khan said the government instead of re-tendering the project, has on its own awarded the project with 70 percent higher cost to one of the two non-responsive bidders.

Secretary water and power Saifullah Chattah insisted that the ministry and NTDC did not commit any breach of PPRA rules and said the project would continue as the ministry has to complete the dispersal of electricity project at any cost before the Neelum-Jhelum project gets completed in December 2015.

However, documents available with The News show that the total cost for transmission line as per revised PC-I approved on 27 August 2013 stood at Rs12,969.35 million. However, Gezhouba quoted the price of Rs22 billion which is almost 70 pc higher than the approved PC-I cost.

The authorities in the ministry of water and power, fearing backlash, have decided to award the contract to the Gezhouba Company that is already found non-responsive in the bidding process for the said electricity dispersal project of Rs22.5 billion, by setting aside the PPRA rules.

Instead of re-tendering the project, the authorities have awarded the contract to the Gezhouba Company under negotiated arrangement with the main objective to save time as most of the time has been wasted in initiating the transmission line for the dispersal of electricity to be generated by Neelum-Jhelum project by June 2016. The negotiated settlement for the contract is a flagrant violation of PPRA rules.

PTI fanboys should start to think with their heads now. Its high time. The election days are long gone.

When a reporter is reporting on a corruption scandal then instead of calling him a 'paid lifafa' you should look at the claims first. Since PTI itself is accepting that corruption has been identified then why the name calling for those who report?

Grow up already.
