Pakistan Urged to Extradite Killers

Political Desk

Following the deadly attack in Chabahar by the Pakistan-based Jundallah group, President Mahmoud Ahamdinejad called on Islamabad to arrest those involved and extradite them to Iran.
In a phone talk with his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari late on Monday, Ahmadinejad asked him to order his security organizations to arrest the killers and extradite them, IRIB reported.
At least 38 people including women and children were killed and more than 90 were injured on December 15 in a suicide attack in the port city in Sistan-Baluchestan province where people were commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the Third Imam of Shia Muslims and grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Iran says the perpetrators behind the attack were trained and equipped by foreign elements inside Pakistan.
Jundallah claimed responsibility for the bloody attacks that shocked the world and drew international condemnation.
Security forces made several arrests soon afterward and investigations are under way.
The banned group has carried out several deadly bombings and assassination attempts in Iran, including in crime-infested Sistan-Baluchestan bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This crime took place at a mourning ceremony held for the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The perpetrators are neither Muslims nor are they followers of any religion, Ahmadinejad said.
Irans security organizations are willing and able to exchange information and mutual cooperation with Pakistan, the president said, adding that two-way cooperation and decisive action can definitely uproot terrorism in the region. Zardari assured the president that Pakistan would do its best to help uproot terror.

Generals Warnings
A senior military commander said that the pattern of terror near the Pakistani border compels Tehran to review cooperation with the Islamabad government on related issues.
Pakistan is Irans friend and brother country but unfortunately it does not control terrorists, ISNA quoted Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Irans Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi as saying on Monday.
If Pakistan fails to control terrorist attacks on its borders like recent years, we will exercise our legitimate rights, Firouzabadi concluded.
The Pakistan-based groups leader Abdolmalek Rigi was arrested by Iranian intelligence in February 2010 and executed in June for 79 counts of crime, including armed robbery, bombing operations and armed attacks on police and civilians.
Rigi in his confessions said he had dealings with the US government and was promised unlimited funds and resources for waging an insurgency in Iran.

Best Option
Meanwhile, another military commander said that the best way to terminate terror activities in the southeast of Iran s to take out the terrorists and their backers in Pakistan.
The anti-revolutionary gangs, which have found safe havens and support in neighboring countries such as Pakistan, need to be hunted down and crushed on Pakistani soil. This is the only way to confront them, Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces Major General Gholamali Rashid said.

Globally Condemned
Ecuador, Egypt, Qatar and Japan also joined countries condemning the deadly attack.
In a message to caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Egypts Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Ghait strongly condemned the attack and extended condolences to the bereaved families, IRNA reported.
Qatars Foreign Ministry in a statement condemned the attack and expressed sympathy with the Iranian nation and government.
Ecuadors Foreign Ministry also denounced the attack as abhorrent and called for the eradication of such terror elements.
Japan expresses its deepest regret over this terrorist attack, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Japan strongly condemns such terrorist attacks that are unacceptable, the statement read.

Appeal to UN
The families of the victims of Chabahar attack called on the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to take immediate action to fight terrorism.
In a letter to Ban, Irans Justice Supporters Association -- comprising of families of the victims of terrorism -- said the recent attack again showed that terror groups will never shun their inhumane acts, and that the international community is regularly suffering in the shadow of their threat and terror.
The events in Chabahar were the consequence of long-term support by certain governments for terrorist organizations for short-term political gain, the letter read.

Result of Indifference
The incidents were also the result of years of passivity and silence of international organizations vis-a-vis terrorist groups. Although these groups are well-known all over the world, they continue their inhuman acts unhindered, and cut short the lives of innocent people, it added.
The association emphasized that governments and international organizations that support terror groups or remain tight-lipped on their cruel measures, are responsible for the killing of a six-month baby who was among the victims of Chabahar terrorist attack.
Comprising the families of 16,000 victims of terrorism in the Islamic Republic, Irans Justice Supporters Association urged the UN, as the most important international organization, to take serious and practical steps in accordance with its charter to prevent events in which innocent people are threatened along with international peace and security.
The UN should take a serious step and draw up an appropriate strategy to identify the perpetrators, facilitators and supporters of terrorist groups and administer justice against all those who are involved in anti-human measures, the letter said.

Iran asks Pak to hand over terrorists

TEHRAN: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari on Monday to arrest and hand over "known terrorists," the Iranian leader's office said on its website.

In a telephone call, the Iranian president "asked Zardari to order his country's security forces to quickly arrest known terrorists and hand them over to the Islamic Republic of Iran," Ahmadinejad's office said in a statement posted on its website.

The phone call followed a suicide attack last week in the southeastern Iranian city of Chabahar that killed 39 people during a Shiite mourning procession.

The attack was claimed by Sunni militant group Jundallah (Army of God), which Iran claims receives support from the intelligence services of Pakistan, Britain and the United States.

"The perpetrators of this act are not only non-Muslims, but belong to no religion," the website quoted Ahmadinejad as telling Zardari.

Jundallah says it is fighting for the rights of the ethnic Sunni Baluchis in the Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran, which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The group has been accused of carrying out several such deadly attacks in Sistan-Baluchestan.

The website said that Zardari told Ahmadinejad Pakistan would not hesitate to help eradicate terrorism.

grow up
gets your facts right first
pakistan never ever caused any "terrorism " in iran...the truth is that iran is secretly with america in this present game orchestrated against pakistan,.dont believe what media shows you.

india ,america iran all are pressing pakistan to hand over "terrorists".this is tio corner the only atomic muslim state into submission.
ask some patriot pakistanis in sensitive agencies that who killed allama ihsaan ilahi zaheer and maulana haq nawaz jhangavi, maulana aazam taariq etc who were the famous sunni deobandi aalims in history of pakistan.irani agencies murdered many pakistani ulema since 80,s but pakistanis are not an honourable nation over all so they remained shut mouthed and never demanded iran to hand over irani terrorists to pakistan, unfortunately our present rulers are more loyal to america india and iran than they are to pakistan so no one will remind iran of their terrorist activities inside pakistan.they never even protested to iran on arming to teeth some pro iran groups inside pakistan .

as for irans demand of handing over so called terrorists to them its nothing but to pressure pakistan into submitting more to american war against islam.iran supported american occupation of afghanistan and iraq, those muslims who are still not aware of it ,i can only pray that allah give them eyes.

the fact is that irani government is oppressing sunni majority of balochistan and seestaan (about which i already wrote but post was deleted) and in single day dozens of balochi muslims are hanged ,so these balochi sunnis to protect themsleves and their homes have took up arms, people who liked iran wrote to irani papers many years ago to stop this oppression or it may back fire ,and now it seems this thing has come to a point where iran will lose these areas in near future.believe me that jundulah and irani sunni balochi uprising is purely an irani phenomenon, pakistan has always been obedient and loyal servant to iran and has handed over all wanted suspects to iran in past.still iran is abusing us, so it seems likely that it is all due to some bigger game against pakistan.

this is 21st century ,you cant just keep on killing people just because they do not adopt your sect, iran should give sunni minority as much freedom as shia minority has in pakistan..if not as much than atleast sunni irani balochis and seestaanis should be given right to live as humans,or things will get worse for iran.

anyway pakistan should not take dictation and abuses from every tom dick and harry, wish we get brave leadership who tells iran to mind their own business and stop oppressing minorities and stop accusing pakistan of crimes it never committed.
by the way in 2005 or so pakistani army guys claimed that they seized irani arms which were given to balochi serdar rebels fighting to free pakistani balochistan...but pakistan never even protested weakly to iran, this is because our leadership is not loyal to pakistan.still now i think iranis are funding balochi freedom struggle inside pakistan ,so that gawader port may never become functional and so it never takes away irani ports business.

iran also is closer to india than pakistan, irans chahbahar port is being made by indian help, but this news is censored in pakistan like iran is some sort of god whose name must not be tarnished, strange indeed that we can criticise pakistan and saudia openly in every forum but one word against iran and its censored, which makes one think deeply whats the reason behind this?
pakistan is a very free society where minority sects have more freedom than majority ones,on tenth moharam whole pakistan is closed, but in iran sunnis minority is not allowed to make mosques even and not allowed even to pray publically, this has created great tensions in sunni majority areas of iran like seestaan and irani balochistan.iran should learn from pakistan and give rights to sunnis atleast in there majority areas if not in whole iran,or more sunnis will take up arms and iran will keep blaming pakistan on orders from zionists,so that pakistan always remains cornered.
pakistan is a convenient scapegoat nowdays anyway.by every tom dick and harry.

if you read the full news in papers they have written that iran has threatened pakistan that if "terrorists" are not handed over than irani army will do operation inside pakistan and kill them (does it remind you of any other country?) .in past sometimes irani revolutionary guards have entered pakistan and done some kidnappings of sunni balochs who were later hanged in iran.but pakistani government never protested against this.as our rulers loyalties lie with iran
some other oppressions were committed by iran which are too disturbing to write here.may allah punish the zaalimeen whoever they are.
irani presidents threat to attack pakistani areas has starngely come at the time when pakistan is showing some hesitance in starting operation in north waziristan this year...this speaks volumes about how expert are zionists at pressurising pakistan via multiple sources....ofcourse zionists hold more strings in their hands than you people can ever dream about as you trust your media which never tells anything true
because these are times of dajal ,the big deceiver
