Ive seen some of Zaid Hamids discussions on various issues especially of geo-strategic and defence related issues and I personally think hes more appropriate to discuss those issues rather than the issues of Islamic theology, philosophy, dogma and mysticism. Especially on these specialized issues which relates to Islam hes more and less use to describe the same set pattern of wordings and interpretations which are devoid of in-depth knowledge of specifics like etymology, philology, logic in exegeses, philosophy of history, logic in Islamic jurisprudence and epistemology. Only a genuine scholar can cover these areas of specifics with some command and unfortunately in current media outlets (like electronic, cyber and print) there has been a practice of showing these charlatans like Zaid Hamid, Javed Ahmed Ghamdi and those fake religious scholars who are on the payroll of their heinous masters who wants the interpretation of Islam which fits according to their own ideologies and agendas. I hope this trend should change for the betterment of our new generation so that they can have crystal clear picture of the beautiful message and ideology of Islam and its sages.
