Those who say that Pak army did not fight in East Pakistan in 1971, should hear this Indian Field Martial responsible for the war in that theater. He says that Pak army fought gallantly!! A fair and honest tribute from an enemy.

Very true. It was bloody Bhutto who played traitor role in that war, otherwise, our military fought the war very bravely, no doubt on our military capability and performance.

We should give honor to our institutions,,,, decisions may be wrong or right,,,,, and wat the hell politicians are doing since 1948 september........ if an army general drag u into the cave why not u stand firm against him,,,,, they only take their personal benefits and then kicked them in bad times. Bhutto, Nawaz, Shuja'at, all have almost same history

This is the freakin' reason we are in a mess that we are .. we never accept the reality. 1971 war was a shameful event.

But army was not responsible for it politicians were. Read the history written by patriots, even honest Hindus and Russian agents admit that army didn't stand a chance given the propaganda war, political manipulation and public ignorance at that time, exactly as today we stand at the same point again where our country is under attack from all sides and we are dying for election maila party.

Re: Indian Field martial pays tribute to Pak army in East Pakistan

41 years ago, in these dates in 1971, Pakistan was dismembered and East Pakistan was separated from us. It was one of the most tragic event in our history where a series of catastrophic blunders over many years and a corrupt, cowards and morally debouch political and military leadership made sure that over a million Muslims die and Pakistan is broken under an Indian invasion. Most of you were not even born at that time and do not know what happened back then. Let us tell you them in a sequence so that you know why we are so staunchly against elections in these war times.

1. Agartala Conspiracy was caught in 1969, years before the fall of Dhaka in 1971. Allah had exposed the Indian game plan to hire traitors in East Pakistan and create armed groups, Mukti Bahini. The government of Ayub Khan wanted to put the traitors on trail but the politicians like Bhutto, Asghar Khan, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, Mufti mehmood and Jamaat Islami defended the traitors and protested against Ayub Khan. As a result, the cases were withdrawn and elections were announced knowing fully well that Indians had created armed gangs in East Pakistan. The stage for rebellion was now set.

2. Under the threat of Mukti Bahini, Mujeeb won the elections in East Pakistan. In West Pakistan, Bhutto won the elections. Now army had a crisis. Mujeeb wanted to become Prime Minister and here Bhutto wanted to become prime Minister. Bhutto raised a slogan “we here and you there”, Idhar Hum, Udhar Tum”!! Read Ahmad reza Qasuri’s book on the subject. Once Mujeeb was sure that Bhutto will not let him become the PM, Mujeeb rebelled openly against Pakistan on March 15th 1971 in Dhaka. Mukti went on a rampage and killed over a million Pakistanis all over East Pakistan. Read Blood and Tears by Qutub uddin Aziz.

3. After a million Pakistanis were slaughtered, Pak army finally moved on March 25 to destroy Mukti bahini in operation Search Light. The anti-Mukti operations continued till November 1971 and almost all of East Pakistan was secured and protected from the traitors. But during this time, Indian army was massively busy in preparing to invade Pakistan after the Monsoon season. In Pakistan, Bhutto was now set to become the PM and was acting as the foreign Minister also. But both the army leadership led by Yahya and Bhutto failed to see the Indian preparations.

4. In November 1971, nearly half a million Indian army attacked from all sides into East Pakistan. Pak army fought gallantly (see interview of General Manekshaw) but was outnumbered and outgunned almost 1:20 or at place 1:50. Only 45 lightly armed thousand Pakistani troops were fighting against nearly half a million Indian troops and quarter a million Multi terrorists. (read stories of battle of Hilli and Kamalpur).

5. In West Pakistan, the corrupt leadership of Yahya Khan started the military operations so late that they failed to impact the battle situation on ground in East. Between November 22 1971 to December 16th 1971, the small and tired Pakistan army in East Pakistan was totally surrounded, isolated, without air support, without supplies and fighting on a land which was already under Indian occupation. Indians could not defeat the army garrisons at any place but then used their air support to land directly around Dhaka, bypassing the defending Pak army. General Niazi, the commander of the Easter Command was left with no option but to accept the surrender terms. Before that, Poland had moved a resolution in UN on December 12 to demand a cease fire and withdrawal of pak army. If that resolution was adopted, Pakistan army would not have to face the humiliation of surrender but Bhutto tore that resolution and the last opportunity for a political solution was lost. (Google Polish resolution, UN, 1971, Bhutto).

6. From march 1971 to December 1971, Pakistan army in East Pakistan has regained East Pakistan from Muktis and was putting up a brave fight against Indians to allow the political and military leadership in West Pakistan to find a political solution. But those many precious months were also wasted by General Yahya and Bhutto.

7. Once the news of fall of Dhaka reached West Pakistan, the nation went into a state of rage. Bhutto was out of the country and was saved but the officers of the army and the people rebelled against the top leadership and Yahya had to resign, handing over power to Bhutto as the entire leadership of the army was arrested.

Today, we face the same crisis. The leadership is treacherous and corrupt and Indians have created multiple Mukti Bahinis from Khyber to Karachi. Memo scandal have been caught where leaders have been found to be conspiring to destroy Pak army. The whole country is now under a state of war and threat of civil war is real. Traitors are known but still army is being forced to conduct elections just as they did in 1970. Indian Cold start military doctrine is deployed and waiting to roll into Pakistan once anarchy starts in Pakistan after the elections. Army is already fighting multiple insurgencies in the country and now is being asked to hold elections as well. This is exact repeat of 1971. We fear exact result of 1971.

It is our duty to raise the alarm which was NOT raised in 1971. We must learn from history or be condemned to repeat it. This is the law of nature.

When traitors rule and take part in fake democracy and political parties have armed wings and army comes under pressure and help the traitors to become rulers, then these tragedies become inevitable. Today, we have a choice. Tomorrow, the circumstances would decide our destiny.

REAL FACE OF OUR ARMY

NIGHTS OF THE KNIGHTS

BY
WASEEM ALTAF

Brigade Major Munawar Khan testified before the Hamood-ur -Rahman Commission (The Commission) that the Commander Brigadier Hayatul
lah had brought some girls for entertainment in his bunker on the night of 11th & 12th December 1971 in Maqbulpur sector when enemy shells were falling on his troops. Brigadier Jahanzeb Arbab (later Lieut. General) as SMLA Multan had demanded 100,000 as bribery from a PCS officer who was chairman of Multan Municipal Committee. The PCS officer committed suicide while leaving a note behind which read that he had only earned rupees 15000 while the SMLA was asking for rupees 100,000, informed Brigadier Abbas Beg to the Commission. The same Jahanzeb Arbab as Commander 57 brigade in former East Pakistan had looted rupees 13.5 million from the National bank treasury in Siraj Ganj.

The Commission concluded that Major General Khudadad Khan Adjutant General Pakistan Army had illicit relations with General Aqleem Akhter Rani whom he helped in suppressing some martial law cases. He also minted money in a number of business deals during martial law.

General A.A K Niazi had amorous relations with Ms Saeeda Bukhari of Gulberg Lahore who used to run a brothel house by the name of Sinorita Home. She also worked as a tout for Tiger Niazi for receiving money and getting things done when he was GOC and later Corps Commander at Lahore. She also colluded with Niazi in the smuggling of pan from East Pakistan. Shamim Firdaus was another notorious character from Sialkot who did the same job as Saeeda Bukhari but at a different location. Major Sajjad-ul-Haq of 604 field intelligence unit told the Commission that dancing girls were frequently brought to a house in Dacca where they would entertain the generals. He further informed that Tiger Niazi would even visit some dancing girls in his staff car bearing 3 stars and the corps flag. Lt.Colonel Aziz Ahmad Khan told the Commission that the troops said “When the commander himself was a rapist, how could they be stopped”. General Niazi also shamelessly defended the rapists by declaring that: “You cannot expect a man to live, fight and die in East Pakistan and go to Jhelum for sex; would you?”

Yahiya Khan was extremely fond of women and wine. Some of his girl friends were wife of an IG Police, Begum Shamim.K.N Hussain,Begum Junagadh, Madam Noor Jehan, Aqleem Akhtar Rani ,wife of a Karachi based businessman Mansoor Heerji, wife of a junior police officer, Nazli Begum, ex wife of Major General(retd) Latif Khan Mst Zainub, ex wife of Sir Khizar Hayat Tiwana with the same name i.e. Zainub, Anwara Begum, an industrialist from Dacca, Lilly khan and Laila Muzammil, again from Dacca, plus actresses Shabnam, Shagufta,Naghma , Tarana and countless others. A number of generals and other army officers would accompany their wives and other female relations to presidency and then leave while the ladies would remain behind. The report contains names of more than 500 women who spent time with the most licentious ruler of this country and in return extracted countless material benefits at the expense of the State. The wives of Generals Naseem, Hameed, Latif, khudad, Shahid, Yaqoob,Riaz,Peerzada,Mian and several others were Yahiya’s regular visitors. Even when the situation in East Pakistan was degenerating Yahiya Khan used to visit Lahore and stay at the Governor House where the aphrodisiac Madam Noor Jehan used to meet him at least twice or thrice a day, in different dresses, makeover and hairdo. At night, she made sure that she was there. General Rani told ex-IG Prisons Hafiz Qasim that once she herself saw General Yahiya pouring liquor over the body of Malika-e -Tarannum Noor Jehan and then licking it, while both were sitting naked on the bed. This was when East Pakistan was burning. Begum Shamim K N Hussain would come to see Yahiya at night and would leave early morning. Later Shamim was appointed ambassador to Austria while her husband was sent as Pakistan’s ambassador to Switzerland. Both husband and wife were not from Foreign Service with no experience of diplomacy. The father of Shamim, Justice (retd) Amin Ahmad was appointed Director National Shipping Corporation when he was 70 years of age. Similarly when Noor Jehan went to Tokyo to take part in a music festival, she got hefty allowances in foreign exchange in violation of rules while many of her family members were sent to Japan on state expense. When Nazli Begum, one of Yahiya’s mistresses was not sanctioned loan by the MD PICIC, Yahiya dismissed the officer.

61, Harley Street Rawalpindi, a house owned by Yahiya was built and decorated with funds obtained from Standard Bank. Yahiya and his Chief of staff General Abdul Hamid Khan used to have fun with their mistresses in the guarded premises of this house. General Rani in one of her rare interviews described Yahiya’s idiosyncratic behavior “One night Agha Jani came to visit me and was somewhat agitated. The moment he entered, he inquired if I had heard the song "cheeche da chala" from the film Dhee Rani. I smiled and stated that I had no time to listen to songs. So, he called the military secretary and ordered him to have a copy of the song delivered to my house at once. It was two o' clock in the morning and the MS had to specially have an audio shop opened up in order to obtain the album. But the command was obeyed and within an hour, Agha Jani was blissfully listening to the song.

Another widely circulated anecdote during the regime of the philanderer General Yahiya Khan was about actress Tarana, One evening a woman arrived at the presidential palace and demanded admission, “I am actress Tarana,” she told the security guards. “I don’t care what Tarana you are,” replied the guard, “you have to have a pass to go in.”
The woman was incensed and demanded to speak to the ADC to the President. The guard rang up the ADC and was told to let the woman in. Two hours later when she was leaving, the same guard sprang to attention and saluted her. “What change in your behavior!” remarked the woman very sarcastically.

“Yes madam,” replied the guard, “when you came, you were the actress Tarana; now you are leaving you are the Qaumi Tarana (national anthem), and so I must salute you.”

General Agha Mohammed Yahya Khan continued to live a peaceful and happy life at 61, Harley Street, Rawalpindi while drawing full retirement benefits including pensions as Army Chief and as President. When he died on August 10, 1980 he was honored with a full military burial.
