Pakistans cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, head of the countrys Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) political party, has launched a virtual movement to mobilize youth of the country.
The movement Jaag Utho, which means Wake up in Pakistans national language Urdu, has been launched on the famous social networking website Facebook and so far it has over 7000 members.

To mobilize the youth of Pakistan through the social media to bring a change and transformation in Pakistan. It urges the Pakistani youth to contribute to stand against the two main viruses eating our country i.e corruption and slavery, and to be part of making Pakistan a society of integrity, sovereignty and prosperity.
Imran Khan who has taken a bold stand against the government, rulers and opposition leaders of Pakistan, is also popular for his anti-US stand and had organized many massive rallies against US drone strikes inside Pakistan.Recently Mr Khan also announced that his party would stage protests and sit-ins in the upcoming month of Ramadan from Iftari to Sehri in front of Parliament House in Pakistans capital Islamabad
as a prelude to its final call for the removal from power of the PPP-led coalition.
The latest virtual movement launched by a leading politician of Pakistan is also evidence of the growing popularity of social networks in the country. It can be said without any doubt that Imran Khans Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has prominent presence among rest of the other political parties of Pakistan on the web world. Besides official website, the PTI has an active presence at YouTube, Twitter and Facebook which are accessed by hundreds of online visitors on daily basis.These cyber-platforms are being used by PTI for attracting more and more people, especially the educated youth of Pakistan who are becoming increasingly tech-savvy.
