It's a media just like people do the Nikkah on telephone that is permissible. Social media is a media, what is un-islamic about it.
In my opinion, whether he had disclosed this divorce issue or not, people would not have had stop gossiping. So, do not blame him on disclosing it, blame yourself who is making this non-issue an important one.

مفتی صاحب کی عمران کی طلاق کے بارے میں بات درست ہے لیکن درست بات کے ساتھ ایک بہت ہی غلط بات بھی کر گئے. زرداری اور شیخ رشید پر بغیر ثبوت کے بہت بڑی تہمت لگا دی. مفتی صاحب کچھ الله کا خوف کریں. تہمت کا وبال آپ کی جان پر ہو گا اور حساب والے دن آپکی کی نیکیوں کے پلڑے سے کافی کچھ نکال کر زرداری اور شیخ صاحب کے پلڑےمیں ڈالا جاوے گا

u need to read Quan and understand it and work on it .... nothing else.

Mufti sb didnt say anything new, he simply said what is already public knowledge. Sh Rasheed himself those words of "drinking milk without cow"
and Mirza told all truth about Zardari on national TV, how Ayan Ali visited him day and night.
Still he did not accuse them, he said..Imran did not follow them to stay single, but he did nikah.
Most people in Pak are "bay-zaar" from Deen, so you will see their comments on anything good said by Ulama.... second category is those who will only listen to their maslak and scholars...they will always oppose even any good words from any other scholar.
This message is so appropriate for present day situation... DIVORCE ..It is such a big thing in our society that a woman is about to kill herself if she gets it. I am talking about personal exp. Lecture like this opens our eyes that DIVORCE is not that bad after all and was common in the past. Hindu culture made it such that many lives are destroyed.
Why He took Imran's name because that is what is on TV 24/7 and that is how people relate to, this makes your message more effective to people to take lesson from.

my comments for the jaahil-e-mutliq if you understand what I mean. You are right about deen bezaars they will insist that you read Quran yourself but cannot even write proper Urdu.
