Fair enough, but you nationality was not clear. Let's analyse whether all parties were really supporting negotiations ?

1. MQM - We all oppose them because of their dirty politics. But lets accept that MQM is the only party who declared Taliban our enemy and warned nation several times before every negotiation attempts. Infact, Taliban on several occasions openly threatened them.
2. ANP - We all know how firm they are when it comes to war against terror.
3. PPP - They ruined Pakistan's economy and are involved in several corruption scandals. But every time when they agreed on negotiations, they showed reservations in private and public gatherings.
4. PML-N - Honestly, I expect least from them. They came into power due to Saudia. Their ministers have relation with banned organisations. Their vote bank is from madrasas and illiterate class. They will never acknowledge operation against their own holy 'brothers'.

Now, Imran is considered as Pakistan's future and hope (I also agree with it). That is why, when Imran from last 10 years, on every talk show, claimed that we can never win war against terror, he was LYING. Before elections and after elections, he was only discussing negotiations as ONLY solution. He even called Pakistan's war against terror as foreign war (in other words, not our war). He volunteered to go and talk with Talibans. His CM offered offices to Talibans. For God's sake, cut the crap....I can go on and on.

By the way, why Imran is silent now on Army's successful operation and drone strikes ?

1. MQM/PPP has always done politics on the issue, when they go in APC they support dialogues and then start supporting operation in public.

2. ANP used to criticise Gen Mush for military operations in FATA, when they were in opposition. During 2008 election campaign, they promised their voters to solve the issue through dialogues, then they did the same in Swat. They were part of PPP's 3D policy(Dialogue, Development, Deterrence) till 2013. They always supported dialogue in all the APCs, now, as they are in opposition, they are just doing the same i.e. opposition of the Govt.

I think you did not listen IK carefully, as he never said "negotiations as ONLY solution". As there were different groups like alqaeda, afgan taliban, pakistani taliban(who were not there b4 pak army operations in FATA), sectarian groups, local tribals & other groups who were fighting in kashmir b4 9/11. So, he wanted to talk to them so you could know why are they fighting and could device an appropriate strategy to tackle them and separate them. And, then at the end crush through army operation, all who wanted to fight. And that is exactly what happened, some groups like TTP Punjab and Masood tribe's fighters disassociated themselves when they realised that TTP has no intentions to negotiate.
