Amazing. PMLN govts had a consistent anti export policy due to artificially overvalued exchange rate that favors import led unsustainable gdp growth:

See the Real effective exchange rate (Reer) shock between 2013 and 2018. And compare it with Reer shock before 2000. Check the similarity. That was exactly the time when PMLN experienced team was in power.
Not surprisingly, PMLN govts consistently pathetic economic policy of artificially overvalued real effective exchange rate led to the highest debt to gdp growths in country's history between 2013-2018 and before 2000:
