If India had contributed in numeric knowledge, you claim that, 'What we today know as Arabic numerals is basically Hindu numerals', On the contrary instead of that you acknowledge Muslim scholars basic contribution in modern science and knowledge, you are questioning 'what is so extra-ordinary if someone learnt something from the advances during Muslim era..' so the extra ordinary thing is that, 'what we today know as' western progress in knowledge, according to your "philosophy" we can say all
That is basically Islamic invention of different knowledge about science and space. Is this not extra-ordinarily then??? [hmmm]
Firstly I would like to make it clear that the narrator did say that some of the numeric basics were from India.
Secondly the short documentary is based on the 'History of Islam' is meant to be about the history and contribution of Muslim scholars not the 'History of India or Hindu's'.
You said ' Islam took knowledge from India and Persia .. As is the wont every civilization learns from its preceding civilization. What is so special in thsi case.. It happens every time.' If Islam took knowledge from previous civilisation (according to your point of view, that means India's knowledge would have come from the Greeks or the pervious civilisation, by saying that Islam took it knowledge from pervious civilisation, and then saying that every civilisation has developed their knowledge from other civilisation, you just contradict you self blatantly.
Sorryyy you cant change HISTORY [wall]
