Four Questions For Our Shia Friends By A Sunni

There are the 4 questions, which bother me about Shia and I am unable to find the answers.

I would like any Shia to respond to these 4 questions.


Responding to questions with questions will not help. Also responding with abuse would mean Shia’s don’t have the answer, because when one resort to abuse, it means one doesn’t have the answer.



Here are my 4 questions :

Every Shia believes that When Prophet Muhammad PBUH went to Miraj and spoke to Allah , he heard Hazrat Ali voice .

Question 1: Is this not Shirk to say Allah speaks in Hazrat Ali voice?

Most of the Sunni will want to use either Allah or Muhammad PBUH as their portfolio on social media. A small minority may use Sahaba names. BUT

Most of the Shia use Hazrat Ali or Imam Hussain name for their portfolio, only a minority may use Allah or prophet Muhammad PBUH.


Question 2: Is Hazrat Ali or Hazrat Imam Hussain more respectable than Allah and Prophet Muhammad, if not then why ignoring them , and preferring Hazrat Ali name . Why not Allah or Prophet Muhammad name in the portfolio used by the majority?

We seek help from Allah who doesn’t need help. He is all-powerful . In every rakaat of namaaz we recite surah Fatiha in which Allah taught us to ask only from him.

But Shia seek help from Hazrat Ali by saying Yah-Ali, who was NOT ALL powerful like Allah, I will show you here.

Hazrat Ali was martyred by Abd al-Rahman. Hazrat Ali died two days later on 21 Ramadan .

He was in deep agony for two days because of the wounds before he passed away. Surrounded by his closest family members Hazrat Ali (a.s) in one of his last wills said; “Until yesterday I was your Ameer (leader), today I am only an object from whom you can take lessons and warnings, and tomorrow I shall part company with you”.

He could not help himself when he was in deep pain, so how could he help anyone today ? Also Shias believe (It is a Shia belief not mine) that when Hazrat Fatima was attacked by Hazrat Umar, Hazrat Ali could not help her because Hazrat Abu bakar was in power , he was a Khalifa. So Hazrat Ali was helpless when Hazrat Fatima was martyred by Hazrat Umar (Shia belief not mine) . Don’t you think he should have saved her? He could not save her.


Question 3: Why do Shias seek help from someone who could not help his wife from being martyred and could not help himself when he was attacked ? How can he help them today ? Isn’t it better to instead ask help from Allah only who is present everywhere and who is ALL POWERFUL.

Shias believe Prophet Muhammad demise was not natural but he was martyred . surprisingly they do not mourn prophet Muhammad martyrdom, but they mourn Hazrat Imam Hussain martyrdom .

Question 4: If Prophet Muhammad PBUH is more respected and more important than Hazrat Imam Hussain for every Muslim then why Shia mourn Hazrat Imam Hussain martyrdom but ignore Prophet Muhamad martyrdom, doesn’t that prove Shias love Hazrat Imam Hussain more than Prophet Muhammad PBUH ?​

I don't think all shias are alike, not all sunis are alike too. There are sane and insane people in all groups. So don't generalise that all shias are like that.
