FEUDALISM and MQM- Different or Similar?

feudalism (fy??d'l-?z'?m)
A political and economic system of Europe from the 9th to about the 15th century, based on the holding of all land in fief or fee and the resulting relation of lord to vassal and characterized by homage, legal and military service of tenants, and forfeiture.
A political, economic, or social order resembling this medieval system.

Under the feudal system, every person had obligations to a superior.
The King promised God that he would look after the country.
The barons or tenants-in-chief promised to support the King.
The under-tenants promised to serve the tenants-in-chief.
The peasants (including both free men and villeins) had to perform services for their landlords and pay them rents.
Every person had a duty to someone else.

Lords, vassals and fiefs
Three primary elements characterized feudalism: lords, vassals and fiefs; the structure of feudalism can be seen in how these three elements fit together. A lord was a noble who owned land, a vassal was a person who was granted possession of the land by the lord, and the land was known as a fief. In exchange for the fief, the vassal would provide military service to the lord. The obligations and relations between lord, vassal and fief form the basis of feudalism.

Before a lord could grant land (a fief) to someone, he had to make that person a vassal. This was done at a formal and symbolic ceremony called a commendation ceremony composed of the two-part act of homage and oath of fealty. During homage, the lord and vassal entered a contract in which the vassal promised to fight for the lord at his command.

Fealty comes from the Latin fidelitas and denotes the fidelity owed by a vassal to his feudal lord. "Fealty" also refers to an oath that more explicitly reinforces the commitments of the vassal made during homage. Such an oath follows homage. Once the commendation was complete, the lord and vassal were now in a feudal relationship with agreed-upon mutual obligations to one another.

The vassal's principal obligation to the lord was to provide "aid," or military service. Using whatever equipment the vassal could obtain by virtue of the revenues from the fief.

your thoughts make no sense to any logically thinking person with due respect to your thoughts though. Repeating the same kind of highly polished street language which you translate into english is just out of this world! At the risk of incurring your wrath I invite you to read the post once again and ponder over it, you might surprise yourself!

Nice shot. Keep it up man. We, the MQM people, are the common people of Pakistan and we do speak the very same street language of Pakistan what a common Pakistani speaks. We have nothing to do with drawing room politics.

Of course we are out of elite class world.

Never be disappointed Avatar.

Sometimes I feel that you have no idea as to the content of the matter is and you just have to post something in favor of mqm wheather it is relevent or not. I see no relation of the news that you have posted to the thread.I suppose "Bhains kay aagay been bajanay" wali baat hai.
Please do not try to elevate your status by thinking somebody hates you.NO ONE IN PAKISTAN HATES YOU, you claim that to convince your little egos to feel important beyond reality.
And your street language skills will very likely get you PhD in street language when mqm opens a university to educate in street language,Good Luck till then.

@Jury:

Haters don't know or may be do not want to accept the reality that MQM is a party of millions of workers.

These workers and supporters vary in their professions. They are from donkey cart drivers to airline pilots, sabzi farosh to business tycoons, students to top engineers, surgeons, professors, physical and social scientists. They are spread all over the world and serving Pakistan and it's people.

They all contribute to MQM in their own capacities.

MQM doesn't need to open any university to produce fake PhDs. They have genuinely educated people graduated from national and international universities.
ALHAMDULLILLAH

NO MQM'S MNA NEEDS ANY NEPHEW TO WRITE INTERMEDIATE EXAM FOR HIM. THIS IS THE PRACTICE OF OTHERS NOT MQM's.

HAI KOI HUM SA?
HUM SA HO TOU SAAMNE AAEY.

Very Emotional,

Highly appreciateble loyalty,

No doubt MQM belongs to street power and innocent loyal and honest workers are its main core, but unfortunately, here I see the glass half full or half empty,

Altaf Hussain is NOT sharp bone stuck in throat of Wadara , Jagirdar, Sarmayadar, Sardar and Generals, instead he is very EASY for all of them. Everyday these guys NOT crying crying and burning their face. With the support of Altaf hussain their faces have become RED and so Healthy, They are chewing and enjoying juices of this bone. This will continue Inshallah. Well done.

What to do then? Start fighting with Wadera Zulfiqar Mirza and take the blame of being the agent of Punjab?

On the other hand, Punjab itself doesn't want us as their brother and friends.

I think operation against us was started by a Punjabi PM. Am I right?

Where should we go then? Do we have a place in Pakistan?

Please give me your answer.

There is no point of going for blame game,

after 25 years of politics, what Muhajirs have got, immigration to Canada USA Europe etc. If our leadership is failed, why to blame others, Establishment gave a signal to move out from the country, and start blaming Punjabi PM. I don't think so, you have brought any valid value point.

You are so practical, You live in a Practical country, where you live your live with your choice, where PM office called in person and ask your feed back, but why you support that dictorial behavior politics,

Practical life looks progress, but when it comes to Pakistan then why you don't support practical progressive politics. which I believe you yourself enjoy.

[hmmm]
The tilte should be "FEUDALISM and PAKISTANI Politics- Different or Similar"

Bcuz u can fit any political party (currently in Upper n lower houses) with out any difficulty at all (Just try) :(

I think its nothing with any party (in particular) but actually the mind set of almost 90% Pakistanis. We normally follow any one due to some good reasons in the begining and then blindly follow them (even in to the hell).

Can you point out any political party which you think is not under this def. of urs.

I personally thinks you are tooooo harsh on MQM [hmmm]

Some time its seems to many, as MQM_fobia403 (just kidding) :)

Any ways keep on healthy criticism (ONLY)

The reason I titled it with mqm was because they claim to be for and from the common people and that their leader is the most democratic and non feudal. If you study his behavior and acts you will see that he has modelled himself after all that he says he stands against. He preferred to run away when he had a chance and left his party to struggle and now he wants to take the credit for it,plus he thrives like a royal on the 'donations' which are collected from even the lowest earning member of his party, what kind of examle is he setting for the future leadership of his party? that the leader is not supposed to earn a living he has never earned a days worth of livelihood in Pakistan.
I am not harsh I am just being honest about mqm. Look at the language they use
"Haters" is what they call us, wheras I keep repeating that no one hates them but they seem to have been educated in a certain manner so that they can keep harping on the same tune for the rest of their lives, no change in their attitude. Mustafa Kamal was sending LANAT on everybody, what was that? just a reflection of his training what else.
These are dangerous trends in a political party.
