Initially I was having the same feelings but later realized all this is topi drama, I may be wrong but his partisan approach is mind boggling. In May elections there was big drama of the disqualification later on all were declared qualified, this is only one example.

Yes, he was fond of protocol but that has nothing to do with whether it proves he was a Good Chief Justice or not. Only his decision making as a judge should reflect upon his performance. In that regard he was a huge success, not perfect again but very much successful.

Ok Interpretation of the law is whose responsibility and how can you justify wholesale suo moto but not in this case. Cases of the so called sharifs remained under the carpet. After Asghar khan case decision is he followed it in the same letter and spirit.
He was instrumental in paving the way for the present regime. I may be wrong but he deceived the nation by appearing as honest and pious but not in reality, I was having great expectations from him but all turned out to be mirage.

You may be right in some cases but I was pointing out the procedure only.

you must realise that interpretation of law is the responsibility of Supreme Court but when someone files a petition thats all and suo moto is a discretionary power.

Technically SC judge shd at least be given President level protocol. He is head of the supreme judicial body, the interpreter of the const.

His argument was simple that judiciary being one of the third most important pillar of state (After Parliament and shd be treated as such)

His actual protocol was far less then say even a Corp commander.

Even retired Gen Mushi facing treason trial has a bigger protocol.

How naive....what about the presidential election schedule .....whose domain is that.....yeah Andha kanoon nahin tha balkay 'karan'(one eye)kanoon that .....Jo sirf aik ankh say dekhta tha....paisa,resource and personal benefits were his priorities .....but unfortunately justice was missing........big dilemma but true...poor people suffered a lot in his tenure and he was in the news all the time......let's hope new cj just fix his institution and rest will be ok automatically
