It sure seems like establishment is bargaining with PTI allies, as well as opposition. AT the very least, this puts to rest the theory that PMIK was brought about by the establishment. These pussy bhuttos and sharifs and chaudhries are born to sell their souls....no match for PMIK.
If theres a hint of forced change, I hope PMIK dissolves the assemblies and calls for elections. The main reason for turmoil right now is that opposition wants to stop electoral reforms, specially overseas voting. Well, if elections are held without overseas voters, then apart from overseas votes, Pakistan will be saying goodbye to one more thing. $30 billion annual remittances. Watch how fast that number crashes.

Overseas Paksitanis send USD to Pakistan...not to their families. Their families cant use USD to buy aloo piyaz at the market.
overseas Pakistanis send USD to Pak banks...which is converted to PKR at bank rates. ...and GOP gets cheap dollars and give the expat families Rupees. Then that cheap USD is used to pay for import bills etc.
If GoP had to buy the same amount of USD from the international market, they wouldnt be able to, as no country has a need for PKR. And if at all they are able to buy them, it would cost them a massive premium, driving up the cost of USD even further.
Please understand economics before using this argument, as IVe heard it many times.

Democracy is not superior than our country, establishment must play its role for the betterment of the country.
if ever again, anyone including the journalists criticise N league again, the people will give a flying fuck to them saying PTIans used to say the same thing, but when it came to implement a solution, they were as dumb as a sitting duck. Come forward and discuss the solution if you have any, or shut the bark up and let us welcome the corrupt N league to bring the dollar back to 120 and the fuel prices and the governance and to keep the sugar mafias in its limits….. and so on.

When was the last time anyone who is living abroad sent USD to Pakistan ? You are really funny person . They send pkrp to their families. There is no USD account sitting in Pakistan getting filled by the overseas Pakistanis. If you are right, then ask the families to get the USD and try to buy staples from the market using USD....
The advantage Government takes is from the conversion. They pay the recipients in Pak Rupees and keep the USD to themselves.
And by the way, the USD is only relevant to those overseas Pakistanis who are living in USA. the rest use their local currency for the exchange rate.

wow, two big reasons to show IK the exit gate? Come on man stay on the earth. He is executive if his decisions are not fruitful he will face the music in the next election. it is democracy.

His method of doing that was very bad. He made two mistakes. One, he nominated the one ( Ziauddin Butt) who was from Engineering Corp and had no experience of commanding a fighting Corp. Two, he dismissed Mush when he was onboard a plane from Colombo to Karachi and initially didn’t allow his plane to land at Karachi so that Ziauddin Butt could take charge of Army as COAS.
IK can avoid these mistakes and can nominate the next senior most Corp Commander as COAS. Believe me, no coup will happen. Senior most Corp commanders of fighting Corps ( Artillery, Infantry) do desire to become COAS. However, next senior most is neither General Faiz nor General Ghafoor.

As I said, dollar remittances cant be used by our families to buy groceries.
Similarly, when exporters sell products overseas, they get paid in dollars. But they cant use those dollars to pay their workers salaries.
So no, dollars dont go into our families pockets. The only families that hoard dollars in Pakistan are the Sharif Zardari types...who spend their eids and weddings abroad.
Our families get rupees...not dollars. The dollars go to Pak govt. Take a course in B.Com if needed.

Errr...tell this to Desperado. YOu just said the same thing as I did...apart from a couple of gaffes.
Expats send USD if they are in the US...or if in the middle east. Mideast currencies are pegged to the US, so its virtually the same.
The remitted forex is deposited with their respective bank, and the bank in turn, credits their account with rupees.
In daily forex reports, you must have heard that Pakistan has $X in forex reserves...and this much lies with the state bank, and this much lies with private banks. THAT is where the dollars are.
