I am amazed at the statement by the Afghani, what a great statement. He outlined his national interests very well, given the consequences of such agreement and also pointed to the objectives of the Americans.
Shockingly, Americans wants complete freedom of movement in Afghanistan, without oversight from the Afghan Government. No USA soldier could be charge under Afghan laws or international laws, I am sure they would not be under Geneva Convention either, or under the jurisdiction of international court of Justice.
But the most troublesome is the last condition, if Americans need to take action outside Afghan's border then they would be able to take such action. Read in to it, meaning PAKISTAN.
If a spokesman of Taliban could be this bold and eloquent in describing this proposed agreement, why Pakistanis do not make any noises against it? It is definitely Pakistan specific. Like we are facing the danger of Americans sending the terrorists across the border regularly now for over a month killing our soldiers.
