PESHAWAR: Twin explosions at All Saint's Church in Peshawar's Kohati gate area killed 75 people and wounded 130 others on Sunday.

The victims of the blast included children and women who were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital.
Earlier, Chief Executive of LRH, Dr Arshad Jawed told Dawn.com that 61 people had been killed in the attack.
The blast also shattered the windows of nearby buildings.
Additional Inspector General Shafqat Malik of the Bomb Disposal Squad told media persons that two suicide bombers had carried out the attack and that body parts of the attackers had been recovered and sent for forensic examinations.
He added that six kilograms of explosives were used in the suicide vests of the bombers.
Capital City Police Chief, Mohammad Ali Babakhel said, "the first attack happened when services had finished and people were leaving the church.The suicide bomber tried to attack the people, but when he was stopped by the police he detonated the bomb. The second blast was carried out inside the church."
Moreover, SP (City) Ismail Tariq also confirmed that two attackers opened fire at the security guards deployed at the church killing one guard and injuring the other before entering the church premesis.
The two bomber detonated their explosive vests within an interval of 30 seconds after entering the church.
Markets and shops in the locality closed down in the vicintity as tension and panic griped the area after the incident.
Moreover, enraged protestors took to the streets and set ablaze the belongings of the police personnel who were deputed at the church for security.
All Saints Church resembles a mosque and has served as a symbol for peace and harmony.
Kohati Gate area is one of the sensitive localilties in Peshawar, where at least three churches and several imambargahs are located.
Moreover arrangements for the funeral services of the blast victims were being made at the St John's Cathedral in the city.
Meanwhile another explosion in Balochistan's Sibi area injured nine persons on Sunday and damaged several cars and shops in the vicinity of the blast.
Police sources said that the bomb was planted on a motorcycle which was remotely detonated on Nishtar road in Sibi's Karim chowk area.
All injured were shifted to Civil hospital Sibi where the condition of two wounded was reported as critical.
Security and rescue reams reached the blast site and cordoned off the area as a probe into the incident went underway.

No one claimed responsibility for the incident till the filing of this report. The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have distanced themselves from the attack and denied that they were responsible.

common Bro, who doesn't get political benefit for what they do? NS has been playing his whole campaign on things like he conducted nuclear bombs, and made motorway etc etc. This is not the point. You will have to remind people of what you have done and what you plan next, and there is nothing wrong with it. So don't bring in something like that into the arguement. What i said was that if the other parties think that they are doing the right thing then they should go ahead with what they think is right for Pakistan. If they get success by implementing their policy(of operation as you are saying) then they will be eradicating Imran khan from politics because who will then support imran khan? The other parties can then say that Imran khan stopped them from conducting operations because he wasn't sincere and they are likely to get people support then.

My point is that other parties also agree with the negotiation with taliban and its not just imran khan. And they don't agree with imran khan and still not conducting the thing which is right for Pakistan then it means that they are not sincere to the country, but that's not the case. They are also sincere with the country and they are also supporting the negotiation with their own will. So please don't negate your party policy, because if its true what you are saying then that party is not sincere with Pakistan but with their seat only.

goes to show that only imran khan has the wisdom , guts , statesmanship and the courage to go against US- influenced war . YOU said it yourself .

I wish had imran khan been the PM pakistan at the time of 9/11 he would have not jumped into US war and taliban would not have become enemy oo pakistan in the first place. Even now Dialogue is the way forward.

First of all u keep in ur mind that i am never being anp supporter. I always support Islami Jamiat Talaba during my college life. My whole family are supporter of jumaat islami. But during 5 years rule of MMA in kpk they gave free hand to Taliban to takeover swat and the result of that our life in swat was destroyed..and i left my support from jumaat islami.....This time my family give vote to pti but I am feeling that pti are playing same role like MMA when they gave them open shelter and support to Taliban....That is why i am saying PTI are political wing of TTP.
