Dawn paper is one of the pakistans largest English newspaper. it is karachi based and it is owned by a party which is presently in government. its head was made pakistans uno ambassador by pak president asif zerdari

Dawn newspaper like other English papers is allergic to islam but other newspapers atleast try most of the times to hide to an extent this anti islam hatred .but dawn newspaper is becoming more and more daring in its secular anti islam views.

A dawn columnist named nadeem farooq paracha regularly writes in dawn.he has uttered his anti islam views on many occasions in past .i wrote against him two years back but no one supported me .i than tried to compaign against this paper but still no one listened.not even big bearded fellows who claim to be great muslims.but trouble with Present day muslims is that they always put their careers and worldly benefits before their religion .and they know that taking such stand for islam will endanger their moderate image in society.

Anyway no one listened to me.now a month back again nadeem paracha spewed out his mental filth in dawn.some parts of his writings are given below

Here nadeem paracha uses the word brutal for Islamic hudood punishments which are agreed upon by all sects of islam..so does he mean that allahs hadood in quran are brutal? Is it not blasphemy?

Again nadeem paracha is saying that implementing Quranic Ayats and Hadiths means implementing brutality. also he here refers to Islamic laws as Bedouin tribal customs (astaghfirulah).all muslims know that these laws were revealed to our prophet (sallalah u alih e wasallum) via wuhi from allah.
which muslim does not believe this and still claims to be a muslim?


3 he happily quotes another one like him to put his point who says "They pray to a violent deity...... "---

does he want to say here that those muslims who follow quran and sunnah pray to a (nouzbillah) violent one.!

And remember this is only one column.in past he has ridiculed and shown his disgust on those people who fast and pray and who do not drink wine.he regularly utters such a hatred against practicing muslims that rarely even you will see a jew writing with such passionate hatred.
and he is writing nonstop since years in dawn.

Now my question to muslims is

Is there no Muslim left in Pakistan that they are tolerating open blasphemy. When non-Muslims do blasphemy people do make ( though they are ineffective and mild) protests. People ask for the death of blasphemers but when a blasphemer is living among the people they do nothing at all to prosecute him.

For example is our esteemed jamaat dawa.which weekly protests against American blasphemers but fails to even weekly protest against those Pakistani liberals who do open blasphemy against islam
same jamaat dawa has Strange logic!that so called muslims can do any crime against islam and muslims but we cant even touch them





Now the one thing that he says and I agree with is "Either we are one of the most hypocritical nations or certainly the most confused."; why hypocritical because pakistanis want to kill cartoonists, etc. but when this blasphemer is living among them they do not even protest or get him punished by the Courts.

While I do not agree with the writings of this Paracha, his logic is twisted most of the times, you have to understand that he expresses HIS opinion and he is not forcing any one to adhere to his views.

Secondly the answer to your number 1 point raised, most people will call these punishments "Brutal" even if they are part of Islamic laws. It is not blasphamy to call them brutal. You have proff in the fact that no 1 supported you. Fact is fact. Chopping of the hand IS BRUTAL...CHOPPING off the head IS BRUTAL...I will repeat it 1000 times there is no second opinion about it.

Answer to number 2, there is a difference between rules and customs in Arab culture and Islamic laws, many laws in the so called sharia are in fact based on Arab culture and are not necessarily Islamic.

I just read the article...You need to be pretty good in English to understand what he is saying. Mr.drkjke although i agree with his views but you are not doing justice when u taking sentences out of contest. Don't go close to namaaz... Allah said in Quran... but when you read it in full contest it states "don't go closed to namaaz when you are drunk".

Bible, Taura, Quran all say the same law of God. However, Muslim Christian, Jews and all other people believe, chopping of hand, head or stoning is bruital. In old time people live by the sword and died by the sword... their were no jails or prisons in each city but times have changed. Alternative punishments are avaliable for such crime. Like for example adultry 25 years in jail or life sentence.

Its true that God has showed us 2 sides of himself, one the most merciful and compassionate and the other side to be just in punishing. The write is merely saying why we just show the side that is talking about blood for blood, hand for hand and we hide the side of Allah that talks about love , compassion and forgiveness. Its all because mullah teach us about hell fire, blood for blood , killing of Kafir etc. but don't teach us about the Compassion of Allah and his forgiveness.

All he is saying is that we are a confused as a nation. We want Islamic punishments but when Taliban so the same very thing that we say we like... we don't like Taliban and also that we should not show God as a blood thirsty entity but the most loving and compassionate. If we want those punishments implemented... than we should support Taliban not hate them because they are the enforcers or we are too confused what we want.....

However, in a recent interview he gave to a cultural website, WeCite.com, he said that he was always, and still is, nothing more than an old fashioned Socialist, even though in an earlier interview he did point out that he had been associated with various Marxist student groups and at least one anarchist concern, as a student in the eighties
Mr. Parach is a recovering drug addict who spent four years of his life in a drug rehab center. He had frequnet mental breakdowns. He had a mental illness and is on anti-depression medication even now.
The majority of the theories about Paracha however revolve around his association with drugs. Throughout the nineties he was accused by some well known but conservative pop stars and their fans for promoting drug use, especially cannabis, through his articles. Paracha was also said to be a heavy user of both hard drugs (heroin) and soft drugs (cannabis).

The issue here is will his writings be used for or against muslims living in western nations as propaganda against muslim practicing their faith . In southern states like Tenessee mosques are needed special permission as most around America have been subjected to vandalism and if local communities have no problem having mosque in their locality[which they do most of the time recent example New York mosque blocks away from Groundzero] a security plan is first drafted to provide them proper security cover.
Humble Pakistani a humble request to you, please understand under these circumstances where all muslim Americans have are just rights as they totally abhorred by the civil society their who just wants to go to a mosque and say his prayers, and a right wing American publishes this poll on his website or newspaper to establish that islam is a violent religion and we should ban mosques and convert them to christianity[as Ann Coulter said] or put them in internment camps.
Muslims have a rich history of discrimination either Russia when Stalin accused them of Nazi collaboration and relocating them to Siberia from Northern Caucasus region [extending to southern part of Ukraine, Europe]where they were in majority, or transferred to Turkey or recent history ethnic cleansing of Bosnians mass murdered more than a million muslims just because they were muslims and these killings are repeated all over the world.
