Don't try to equate such books from various factions to distory Islamic teachings with true Quranic spirit. How these books written centuries after the death of Prophet MPBUH could depict true emphasis of Islam. They are based on events and traditions and sayings of generations after genaerations. How could any one confirm their authenticity, why not to follow the straight forward messages and teachings of quran. Moreover these books are generally refferred by such self proclaimed scholars who had defined their age and death time, that has lapsed since years. So follow them if you wish.
Books on Milaad-un-Nabi (SAWW)

Imam Tirmidhi, in his book even gives the title of one of this chapters, the name “Milaad-un-Nabee” [Tirmidhi, shamaa’il]

Imam Waaqdi (A second century scholar) also wrote a book entitled “Milaad-un-Nabi”

Mawlid An-Nabi, the Prophets birthday, may Allah have send His peace and blessings upon him.. Some clarification.. How do you go about celebrating, if this is something to be celebrated?

Sheikh Assim Al-Hakim

Abdullah bin Mubarak states: Imam Abu Hanifa visited Madinah, it was 12th of Rabi ul Awwal and I saw Imam Abu Hanifa distributing drinks to the children of Madinah and telling them to rejoice as it is the day Rasul Allah was sent to us.

He started with the question if Companions of Prophet SAW celebrated Miladunnabi or not, but he never answered that question. Because the answer is "they never did". If Rasulullah SAW celebrated his birthday as Molana has tried to conclude, then why it was not followed by the companions? Are we saying that we love Rasulullah SAW more than his companions? If it was really celebrated by the Prophet SAW even once then the companions would have made it essential part of their practice and would have never missed it even once. And because that did not happen, we can easily say that Molana is totally mistaken.

Islamic acts have evolved throughout the first few generations. Hazrat Usman Ghani r.a compiled the quran in a different manner to the way it got descended. Surah Alaq was the first surah but the later era compiled Quran begins with Surah Fatiha. Mawlid is celebrated all around the muslim world.

We offer salat becuase Holy Prophet PBUH performed it infront of Sahaba ra then Sahaba ra wrote in books (sahe-e- sata) most recognised books. All Caliphs performed the same way.

Where does Milad come in Sahe Sata? Like Sahe Bukhari i.e?

You do not have to celebrate it if you do not want to follow the sunnah.

Hajj was made obligatory in 9th or 10th Hijri. Till then it was not an obligatory pillar of Islam because muslims were under constant hardships. Prophet Muhammad pbuh did not live more than two or three years after that. Eid ul Adha however was being celebrated from 1st Hijri. Anas ibn Malik reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)came to Madina and saw they had two days of festivity. He asked, ‘What are these two days?’ They said, ‘We used to celebrate these days in Jahiliyya. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Allah has replaced them with better two days: the day of Fitr and the day of Adha. [Abu Dawood Book 1, Nasaee Book 1, Sunane Bayhaqee Book 3]

Eid namaz began in 2nd Hijri. Eids were only a replacement for those festivals. Later in 9th or 10th Hijri Hajj was made obligatory which fell a day before Eid ul Adha.

Similarly Prophet Muhammad used to fast on Monday in the initial days but in the last years of his life he arranged annual feasts. This marked the beginning of annual mawlid festival. The difference between mawlid and eid is that one is sort of a compulsory act whereas celebrating mawlid is a sunnah and as it was a sunnah so it evolved over a period of time similar to other acts which include Witr prayers or completion of recitation of Quran in Ramazan and other non-far(sunnah) acts.

Everyone is answerable. Does not mean one should not commemorate the events. Those who commit sins will be punished accordingly.

Brother please talk sense. Think twice before ascribing something to these greatest of the companions of The Prophet (saw). Its hard to believe that they would be giving Basharats of Jannah to people. Such words can only come from a Prophet of God. Correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
