Hussain Nawaz' statement is nothing but an attempt to save their face. It has no merit as his interview on TV is the biggest evidence that he is lying again and again.
In his intervew in TV, he says that funds generated by selling the steel mills in 2005 were spent to buy these 2 offshore companies.
But now it is obvious from the documents that these are not 2 offshore companies but at least 4. It is also proved that all 4 companies were bought before year 2000. They may have many more such companies and tens of bank accounts in Dubai, USA, Turkey and else where.
Hussain Nawaz says, that they were already rich so they always had money. And that they are one of the richest 22 families.
But there are two problems to this. (1) They never paid tax in last 25 years which means their companies at that time never made money. They never had a profit so how can they have millions of dollars to buy these very expensive properties. Among the 22 richest? Since independence and up to 2010, you have paid less than a crore rupee in 65 years taxes which is even lesser than a shop owners taxes. We know you are among the most rich but only with black money.
(2) Even if they already had money then how did they transfered money out of Pakistan. They have no proof of money transfer in last 35 years. Only proof is that of Ishaq Dar's signed statement that he did money laundring for Sharifs.
Mariyam Nawaz said that she, her brothers or her family does not own any property abroad.
Proved now that she was lying. Even Hussain Nawaz says that he owns the properties. And he says that Mariyam is trustee of two of the companies. So you now have Mariyam's lies and Hussain's lies.
Yesterday he said that Mariyam is only a trustee that does not mean that she owns these companies/trusts.
We all know that these offshore trusts are made so that they can protect this property from if any Pakistani authority trys to take it. These are only family trusts.
A trustee is a person who runs whole the show. Just like chairman of a board who himself is a CEO. Ofcourse the benificiaries can be herself, brothers and her parents.
And when she is one of the benificiaries that means she owns it.
Secondly, One should find out names of the beneficiaries and see if Nawaz Sharifs name is also there? If so then Nawaz Sharif will be disqualified from the national assembly.
One must also know that all corrupted looted money is best protected through offshore trusts who can then hold assets every where.
Does the nation need more proofs on Nawaz and Zardari? Does NAB need anything more?
It is a big shame how these people spend weeks and months in Mecca.
But I know that people of Pakistan will still vote for them.. what a shame
