Dear Contra,
I would have preferred had you presented this argument in a logical manner and not referred to yourself as 'we'. Somehow, it does give an odd impression and this collective sense doesn't serve any purpose.
By choosing the word 'we' has made evident the victim mentality of the Hindus, which is a misconception; it has, however, lifted a veil that has made evident your prejudice towards Muslims and how you perceive Hindus to be somehow victims of some heinous crimes. That is something for which I can only express my regret and cannot explain how you seem a bitter man. I have sympathy for you.
The issue regarding the hindus being persecuted by the Muslim rulers especially Ahmad Shah Abdali is perplexing. I am sure that if you are aware of Ahmad Shah Abdali then you must also be aware of the Sikh rulers of Punjab and the period of their rule along with their attitude towards the minorities. And I am sure you are not willing to accept his attitude towards the Muslims and their struggle to live in a dignified manner and to live a life free of inhumane treatment and abuse and one in which they could freely live as per their wishes. It was Shah Walli Ullah who had requested Ahmad Shah Abdali for help and rightly so. It is understandable and even in a modern context it is agreeable. Even the UN Charter allows for a 'Collective self defense' whereby different states may help another state should they ask for help. But even if you forego this, there still exists the doctrine of 'humanitarian intervention' and these two are also, now, part of customary international law. Therefore, both, asking for help on part of the muslims and extending that help on part of Ahmad Shah Abdal, were correct then and in light of the foregoing allowed today also.
The victim mentality, once again, isn't serving you, or any one else for that matter. I must direct you to look at the great courts of justice of the Muslim caliphates; and if that fails to ignite any reasonableness then I must direct you to the court of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, should you wish to look at the rich and proud history of the system of justice. I feel that after writing to defend you earlier today I can only request you to keep an open mind about history and acknowledge what is right. That is least we can all do.
The reason you gave for an Islamic Empire was solely based on the chapter of history pertaining to Ahmed Shah Abdali and if you reasonably read history and judge facts dispassionately then you will realise how your comment was flawed and indeed unreasonable.
Muslim caliphate and the principles of social justice that Islam has shown and instilled in the world are without precedent. The very foundations of the caliphate were laid down on principles of social justice and these are the same values that we will strive for when the opportunity presents itself. A defiant 'Never, Never, Never' will not stop any idea whose time has come and it will certainly not stop the Muslims of the world, and their leaders, to unite and take a collective stand against what is now an inequitable and hostile world in which the mere fact that you are a Muslim is something that has become a cause for persecution for the Muslims. The establishment of an Islamic Caliphate is needed for many other reasons inter alia political, religious, social, ethical, financial, moral, scientific, cultural and educational; details of which can be left for another day and time.
Regard,
Ebu
