A brilliant strategy by Rangers to arrest MQM 2nd tier leadership. Hats off to Rangers

This is an awesome work done by Rangers this time around. Instead of just arresting the ones directly involved in today's violence incidents in Karachi, Rangers acted brilliantly and have arrested the 2nd tier leadership of MQM. In the past, MQM chief used same strategy, where lower echelon workers used to create violence and then 2nd leadership came on tv and apologized on behalf of Altaf Hussain and tried to blame things on some "rogue" elements.

But as now Rangers have arrested the 2nd tier leadership, they wont be able to come on TV to try and put blame somewhere else. But more importantly, DG Rangers has indicated to start criminal proceedings against 2nd tier leadership whomsoever was present in the live speech of Altaf Hussain, as it was their responsibility to stop the workers of MQM from creating violence - and all of the 2nd leadership failed.

So either MQM 2nd tier leadership will have to face criminal proceedings or will have to disown Altaf Hussain once and for all... Choice is theirs..

Brilliant strategy.. Hats off to Rangers..

What you are saying is ideal scenario, but not a realistic scenario.

At first, declaring MQM as terrorist organisation will bring Karachi again to 90's where MQM acted as the "mazloom" in the end. Minus Altaf will mean slow death to MQM, as there will be many splinter groups emerging from MQM.
Secondly, in politics you cannot take people with extremist views out of the political loop - as this will mean that the extremism increases. But by keeping them in politics, they will have to be answerable for every extremist action.

Don't believe them if the 'disown' AH. They will do it only cool off things. Crime is crime and must be punished acordingly. Punishment must suit the crime.

This might be the ripe time to re-introduce MQM-Haqiqi.

I hope somebody files a petition in the SC to ban the MQM, Ameen

MQM era is an end now. Noone could dream to fight with MQM and today all offices closed. Don't forget its a totally strategy than past.
