سندھ کے ضلع جیکب آباد میں بھی گندم کی کٹائی کے بعد آبادگار عام مارکیٹوں میں گندم 2900 سے 3 ہزار روپے فی من فروخت کرنے پر مجبور ہیں جب کہ حکومت کی جانب سے 4 ہزار روپے نرخ مقرر ہونے پر عمل نہ ہو سکا ہے۔

آبادگار اور کاشتکاروں کا کہنا ہے کہ محکمہ خوراک کے افسران ہم سے گندم خریدنے کو تیار نہیں، حکومت یوریا اور ڈی اے پی کی قیمتوں میں کمی کرے تاکہ کاشت پر آنے والے اخراجات پورے ہوسکیں۔

چھوٹے آبادگاروں نے کہا کہ سندھ کے کسان گندم کے باردانے کیلئے پریشان ہیں لیکن محکمہ خوراک کا عملہ بااثر اور من پسند زمینداروں کو باردانہ تقسیم کرکے سرکاری ریٹ پر ان سے گندم خرید رہے ہیں۔

چھوٹے آبادگاروں نے حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ کسانوں کے حق پر ڈاکا زنی کے خاتمے اور باردانہ کی منصفانہ تقسیم کو یقینی بنایاجائے۔

In this situation even the middle man is not entirely at fault with a glut in the market of wheat because of 3rd degree Ukrainian wheat.

Agar ithihad aur itefaq hota then this crisis could have easily been solved, first by cutting out the middleman as you said, second that the public comes together and boycotts imported wheat and support local farmers even if it mean buying it at higher prices.

Lekin yahan 100rps ke ek doosri ke maa bahen kerne ko log ready bhaitay hai to how will they support local farmers by buying expensive wheat aur is menghai ke dour mein just being able to afford any type of atta is a blessing for the middle class and poor man.

America, Canada, UK mein dekh lo, people prefer to buy at the local farmers market even if it means buying at a higher price, because, one they know the product is of a better quality so its worth paying extra, second they know they are supporting the local farming community.

Waisay this could be an untapped market in Pakistan, big retailers go out to the villages and buy from the farmers directly, process the grain and sell it in the cities at a competitive price keeping a decent profit margin for themselves too, it will still be cheaper and of better quality then what is being sold through the regular channels.
