And the same critics used to spit poison against the motorways when they were being built, and this is purely lack of vision. Countries like New Zealand and Australia even lack a REAL motorway, the one like in Pakistan, though its no comparison to germans one but it IS and WAS a visionary step. Let the dogs bark, and let the caravans move on.
The issue is not so much the project itself..but the priority of the project and the opportunity cost of the project. Was the money spent to provide maximum relief to maximum number of people. Personally I would place healthcare and education above transport projects. According to Punjab govt stats number of primary schools are decreasing...perhaps the money should have been spent on that?
I dont necessarily agree with spending HUGE on education, for a bitter reality is, :" iss mulk ko jitna nuqsaan parhay likhay logon nay pohonchaaya hai itna kisi aik anparh nay naheen pohonchaya ":
But having said that, talking about Punjab education policy, as for my knowledge, it is going excellent keeping in mind what country we are living in and the ground realities, there is always room for improvement but on the ground Punjab is the best in comparison to all other provinces.
