Lol yeh log aik subsidy ka maar hay. Chaahey bachay hi as a collateral kyun na day..
You know what? It is high time for Buzdar to win the hearts & minds of the people of Punjab and also to prove to Imran Khan that his decision to make him CM was not wrong. In order for him to give a shut up call to these noonees and piplees on this price hike mantra specially on sugar (sugar daddy) he's going to swing into action and is willing to sacrifice his CM ship for Khan.
He just needs to order the local DC's, PTI tiger force and police to raid the warehouses of this sugar mafia hoarders and take out each and every bag of the hoarded sugar and throw it into the market. For sure the price per kg will come down to Rs 60-70/kg. If the court calls him for his contempt of court orders he should simply tell the judge.... I'm doing it for my people, now you decide you wanna help me taking care of people's misery or you wanna side with the hoarder mafia?? Judge kee galay main aa jaa'ye gee.
Its time to put a leash on these corrupt judges by such defiant actions to give some relief to the people.
Enough is enough.

They drain foreign exchange reserves in election year to artificially lower inflation in order to win next elections. That's why showing the graphs is essential or else people will never understand how inflation is suddenly low in the election year. It's all artificially done by the political mafias, price of which is paid through extreme inflation the next 4 years until the 5th year (election year). So is 1 year of relief every 5 years worth draining of all the reserves and thus bankruptcy?View attachment 3481

Buzdar is Allah Mian's cow if you understand urdu. He is basically a CM for rent. PM Imran Khan is directly controlling Punjab from Islamabad. Bad governance in Punjab is on him not this controlled cow

‘Imran Khan is crushing the poor’: anger rises as inflation grips Pakistan

Shah Meer Baloch in Islamabad
Tue 9 Nov 2021 11.02 GMT

On Friday night, 27-year-old Asadullah, who sold old shoes on a cart, set himself on fire in the Pakistani city of Karachi.

Ghani, a relative, blamed the state of an economy where rampant inflation is hitting those least able to cope. In comments to local media, he said Asadullah used to get calls from his wife and parents asking him for money, but he could not afford to pay the rent and meet his own expenses and sending money back home was no longer possible.

“We can’t run our homes, that’s why Asadullah committed suicide,” Ghani said. “I know five more people who are fed up with inflation and want to end their lives because of skyrocketing prices. The government should have mercy and decrease the inflation.”

An economic meltdown is putting the Pakistani prime minister, Imran Khan, under immense pressure and bringing the threat of unrest as record inflation – the fourth highest in the world – pushes the price of sugar higher than petrol.

Before coming to power, Khan had vowed to root out corruption and lift people out of poverty as he promised a new and prosperous Pakistan with the creation of 10m jobs. Instead, after a visit to Saudi Arabia last month, he announced $3bn in financial support from Riyadh.

In an address to the nation last week, Khan blamed the opposition for past mistakes and inflation in the international market for the miseries of the people in Pakistan. He also announced a 120bn-rupee relief package providing subsidies on essential food items.

Khurram Hussain, an economic analyst, said it was not enough. “The package is a drop in the ocean and will do little to help the mass of ordinary people. The pressure on Imran Khan will continue to mount because we have seen further price hikes, such as of fuel and sugar, after the announcement of the package.”

He said inflation was imposing a crushing burden on ordinary people because it comes at a time of high unemployment and stagnant wages. Prices of some essential items, such as fuel and electricity, are unprecedentedly high.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an opposition alliance, has announced a campaign against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the inflation rates the country is witnessing. A long march against inflation was also announced as a part of the campaign from Lahore to Islamabad.

It says ordinary people of the country will struggle to afford basic necessities if prices do not come down.

Two weeks ago, Mohammed Ghufran, 47, a shopkeeper in Mardan, Pakistan’s north-western province, was arrested after he went to a mosque and prayed for cursing the prime minister. Ghufran said he had seen a fall in the number of customers as prices went up. He talked about inflation to daily wage workers, who told him that they could not afford to buy food for their families.

“I rushed to a mosque and announced to the speakers that we should curse Imran Khan,” he told the Guardian.

“The prime minister promised a new (Naya) Pakistan and that it would be a welfare state for ordinary people but he has done the opposite. He is crushing the poor.”

Ghufran said he regretted voting for Khan and “everyone I know who voted for him and believed in him” regretted it, too. “People in my neighbourhood supported my calls against Imran Khan after I was released in two days. We believe Imran khan should resign if he can’t control the prices of essential commodities.”

Three years ago, a sack of sugar (50kg) cost about 3,000 rupees (£13) but now it is more than 7,000 rupees (£30). “As he lied to us, I pray God would ask him,” he said.

A government employee, asking to remain anonymous, told the Guardian that the prices of necessary commodities had increased with little increase in income.

The government has failed to control inflation,” he said. “I could run my kitchen for 60,000 rupees (£261) three years ago and now I can’t do it for 90,000 rupees (£393).”

And this is exactly where I disagree with you. It's not bad governance. It's a tug of war between a man on a mission and the corrupt elements in every sector hell bent on devouring this country. The choice is yours call it bad governance and submit to the crooks or keep on supporting someone who at the fucking least is trying.
This country is bossed by judiciary, not the army... Why is it so hard to fathom?

If army truly want, it can boss the judiciary around its fingers. During Ayub, Zia martial laws, judiciary never intervened in govt affairs. Judicial interventions came during that Mafroor pig in London's second term, who used money and influence to get favorable verdicts for himself and against his opponents. Remember that infamous leaked phone call between Shahbaz Sharif and justice Qayyum? Since then judiciary has started bossing govt on its fingers. General Musharraf tried to bring back judiciary to its senses but failed. The cat was now out of the bag.

Army is still on the defensive, in damage control mode after the fuckups of 90's and Gen Rtd. Mushy.... With the looming bans from left and right I hardly think they're in the position to do anything. They're still being blackmailed by the people hiding behind democracy.
Army is still trying to reimagine itself. For the good. Let people one day realize what an ugly beast our judiciary is and they'll eventually rise up to slay it or just become it's fodder. I will be disappointed but not surprised if they opt for the later.

Govt can easily clip the wings of judges by revoking their colonial era perks, pensions and benefits. This should put them into submission and they would stop intervening in govt affairs like good old times. Govt itself is responsible for allowing judiciary space into its own affairs.

With this razor thin majority and mir jafars left and right? What strand is it that you're smoking, I must put my stoned hands on it immediately. Give up or keep fighting, they can only fight back for so long.... The destiny lies within our own hands... If I could describe Pakistanis in one word, it'd be "myopic".

After senate elections PTI govt has enough seats to pass any law with simple majority through joint sessions. Very few laws need 2/3 majority. So if this govt has failed to pass new laws and amend the old ones, it's not opposition's fault

There I agree with you but I'm sure judiciary is not one of them. If it is, then it's on them.
