His biggest problem is that he would accept it from a scientist that probably the Alien life exists somewhere in the universe.
He would accept that this Alien life would be completely different from the human and could be in odd shapes, sizes, colors etc.
But tell him Jin exists in the Universe and he would go mental, like he did in this article.
IF you say to him that there are other dimensions, he would agree.
Tell him that Jin could be living in a different dimension, he would go bissark.
This is his problem.
His reference to Jinns is not in that context. He is referring to this about Sultan Bashiruddin Mehmood:
"Mahmood has published papers concerning djinni, which are described in the Qur'an as beings made of fire. He has proposed that djinni could be tapped to solve the energy crisis.[SUP][29][/SUP] I think that if we develop our souls, we can develop communication with them, Mr. Bashiruddin Mahmood said about djinni in The Wall Street Journal in an interview in 1988. Every new idea has its opponents, he added. But there is no reason for this controversy over Islam and science because there is no conflict between Islam and science.[SUP][26]"
