ننکانہ صاحب میں رہنے والے ایک سکھ خاندان کی بیٹی رجمیت کور نے اپنے ہمسائے جنید سے شادی کر لی۔ اس سے پہلے اس نے جڑانوالہ کی ایک مسجد میں اسلام قبول کیا اور وہیں ان کا نکاح پڑھوا دیا گیا۔ رجمیت کور نے مسلمان ہونے پر اپنا نام جنت بی بی رکھا۔

ایکسپریس ٹریبیون کے مطابق اپنے شناخت خفیہ رکھنے کی شرط پر ایک سکھ شہری نے بتایا کہ رجمیت کور اور جنید دونوں ایک دوسرے کو چاہتے تھے وہ پہلے بھی اپنے گھر والوں کی مرضی کے بغیر گھر چھوڑ کر چلی گئی تھی تاہم مقامی شخصیت کی مداخلت پر لڑکی کو واپس اس کے والدین کے حوالے کر دیا گیا تھا۔

رجمیت کور7 دسمبر کی رات کو اپنے گھر سے گئی اس نے جڑانوالہ کی ایک مقامی مسجد میں اسلام قبول کیا اور اپنے لیے جنت بی بی نام کا انتخاب کیا۔ اس کے بعد جنید اور جنت میں نکاح کرا دیا گیا۔ لڑکی نے والدین کے خوف سے تحفظ کیلئے عدالت میں درخواست دائر کی۔ جس پر ننکانہ صاحب اور فیصل آباد کی انتظامیہ نے نوبیاہتا جوڑے کو اپنی تحویل میں لے لیا۔

ذرائع ابلاغ کے مطابق جنت بی بی (رجمیت کور) اپنے شوہر جنید کے ساتھ جانے پر بضد ہے جب کہ والدین لڑکی کے اس فیصلے کے خلاف ہیں جس پر انتظامیہ نے لڑکی کو دارالامان لاہور منتقل کر دیا ہے۔

دوسری جانب سکھ مذہب کے لاہور سے تعلق رکھنے والے اہم رہنما نے اس معاملے پر بیان دیا ہے کہ وہ اس معاملے کوخوش اسلوبی سے حل کرنے کی کوشش کریں گے لیکن حقیقت یہ ہے کہ لڑکی بالغ ہے اوراپنی رضامندی سے اس نے اسلام قبول کرکے شادی کی ہے۔ اگراسے زبردستی اغوا کرکے جبری مذہب تبدیل کروایا جاتا توپھر وہ اس کے حق میں آواز اٹھاتے۔

ادھر رجمیت کور کے والد رنجیت سنگھ نے مقامی برادری سے مدد طلب کی ہے جنہوں نے اس معاملے کو مقامی مسلم بزرگوں کے ساتھ اٹھایا ہے لیکن اس کا کوئی حل نہیں نکل سکا۔ اس سے قبل بھی اسی خاندان کی ایک لڑکی نے اسلام قبول کر کے مسلم نوجوان سے شادی کی تھی۔

I follow a religion which teaches mein "lakum deeno kum walyadeen".... my religion makes absolute sense to me, my religion teaches me when akrama bin abu jahil accepted islam and came to madina, my Prophet SAWW handed him over back to Quraish.... can these MUSLIMS hand this girl over to sikhs again??? Prohet Muhammad PBUH returned akrama bin abu jahil because there was contract Sulah Hudabiya at that time. Is there any such contract between Muslims and non-Muslims right now? Please do not mix the things.

Well if you insist on following the madhab of imams, mullah, moulvis, peers and babas instead of the deen of Allah then that's your own personal choice.

See this is the problem with following any religion. There is no dispute in following laws of motion, or special theory of relativity. But when it comes to a religion or a sect of a religion then there are dozens of interpretations . And the one you're born into is the correct one.

And I reiterate, that's why use your God given intellect and common sense. Educate yourself and make what seems like the right choice to you. I was also born into a sect and taught and then learned on my own what I was suppose to believe and follow and did this for the majority of my life.

You don't need any interpretations because the Allah's message is right there for you. It's clear and easy to understand, it says so itself. Then why do you need someone to interpret it for you.

In every country, a person can freely join the Army but cannot run away from Army, else a punishment is granted. Moreover, in every country of the world maximum severe punishment is granted to the traitor. Should we call such punishments unfair for traitors? A traitor is rightfully considered the worst enemy of any country and deserves no sympathy. Even if a traitor asks for sympathy or forgiveness after the crime then no country grants the complete forgiveness to a traitor. One step further, even such person gets punishment that just planned to be a traitor and gets arrested before the execution of the plan.

Another example, if a person accepts the citizenship of a country then it adheres it’s consent that I will abide all the rules and laws of this country; that even include future rules and laws. Now if a law of that country grants a severe punishment for a crime and that person commits that crime then no court of law will accept this argument that I don’t like this law so take my citizenship back and free me.

Now let’s come to Islam. It’s a normal phenomenon that when something gets big success then naturally some people become against it and go to extreme extend to harm it. The same happened with Islam when it spread exponentially in Arab. In the beginning, when Muslims were not strong enough then they were physically assaulted/abused and even killed by those who do not like Islam. Then those people fought different wars with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Despite all this, Islam kept spreading and the opponents of Islam become weak so they cannot fight with Islam anymore.

But they did not quit the Islam’s opposition and this time they came-up a very dangerous plan. They decided to become Muslim apparently and then after some time they quit the Islam; saying that they found this and that flaws in Islam so they leaving the Islam. The purpose was to create an uncertainty among the new Muslims and harm the Islam’s reputation among non-Muslims who are considering becoming Muslim that they will think that as these people left the Islam after accepting it then there must be something wrong with Islam. Quran notified the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and other Muslims about this plan of traitors in Quran, Chapter 3:73

A group among the People of the Book said ˹to one another˺, “Believe in what has been revealed to the believers in the morning and reject it in the evening, so they may abandon their faith.

As explained earlier, that there is no force of any sort in accepting the Islam. A person who wants to like/hate especially accept Islam, should read/research each and every aspect of Islam. Then make a decision about Islam. Making any of such decision just based upon words of mouth, media and some social media posts is not the way. When a person is allowed to make a free-will decision to accept Islam or do not accept Islam then such person who accepts the Islam with free-will and with the knowledge that what can be the punishment for leaving the Islam then such person cannot be allowed to act like a traitor and harm the Islam by leaving it without any reason.

So much verbal gymnastics, jumping through hoops and blind leaps in a vain effort to justify something that does not exist in Islam nor is mentioned in the Quran

Moreover, the person who leaves the Islam, CANNOT be killed immediately by any one. There are strict conditions for this punishment:

An individual person CANNOT punish such person in any case

2. Such person should be handed over to government

3. The government should ask such person about the reason(s) leaving the Islam

4. Then knowledgeable person(s) (appointed by government) should explain and reply to all the reason(s) raised by such person

5. If that person comes-up with some more question(s) then process should be repeated

6. This process can take few days until all the questions(s) of the person are answered

7. If that person accepts that all of my questions and concerned are answered and I opt to remain Muslim then no punishment is granted. Can we offer such generous deal to the traitor of a country? Answer honestly.

8. If such person still insists to leave Islam then even after that such a person is given few (mostly 3) days to think on answers

9. If such a person still insists on leaving the Islam then it is considered that despite all the questions being answered, this person is considered of those traitors who are mentioned in the aforementioned Chapter of Quran 3:73 so the capital punishment is granted

And where did you come across these pearls of wisdom ? The Quranic reference which you have given 3:73 has nothing to do with this subject?

And it is not that simple. what was right yesterday in your mind, may not be right today. What is right today may not be right tomorrow.
General knowledge and common standards change. It is absurd today to think that in an election only men should cast their votes. But in the last century, it was absurd to expect women to cast their votes like men.

During the wars in Prophet Muhammad PBUH time and after that Sahaba time, it was a common practice to capture enemy's women as "Maal-e-Ghaneemat " Quran allows to have sex with slaves. (Maal- Ghaneemat)even without Nikah. Prophet Muhammad PBUH also had a concubine named Maria.

But today capturing some else's innocent women in a war and then having sex with them will be considered unethical. Today, All the Muslim countries have signed the Geneva convention. It is strictly prohibited to have sex with a prisoner of war according to the Geneva convention (agreed by all the Muslim countries)


With time ethics change. What is " right" changes too.

No it really is, try it, cancel out all the unnecessary noise and just focus on the main subject. The main message is the focus and once you get it everything else will become clear on its on.

This happened when that happened, that was done during such and such time etc etc, all of it is just distraction. The focal point is Allah's message to you and that's it.

We have been programmed over generations to pay more attention to these distractions rather than focus on what really is the center and source of our religion. The direct communication of the creator to his creations and what he wants us to do.
