It is totally appreciable what Ayaz Mir says about removal of ban on Alcohol; which was introduced by General Zia ul Haq in 1980s. According Justice Javed Iqbal (Son of Allama Iqbal) who shares the same view about alcohol in Pakistan, if ban is left on spirits, Pakistan can earn huge tax and duty income on it. If most of governments in Muslim countries have allowed alcohol in their countries, then why not Pakistan???

State of Nevada/US collects all its taxes from brothel and gambling. I suggest you invest some money and open a brothel and hire some good looking women and see the tax base explode in 10 fold.

Our Ideal should not be Son of Allama Iqbal or any other Muslim country. If tax and duty income is the only concern, we have a role model state of Madina , in which Major business was of Alcoholic products, but when the ALLAH and Holy Prophet said it is Haram and forbidden. Then the Muslims didn't care about their economy. ALLAH is always greatest.
Meray bhai income k aur b bohat rastay hain.. business sirf sharab se nahee chal raha Dunia mein..
Kam iz kam Muslim ho k socho... Ayaz Mir ne jo b kaha us ka apna view hai.. but ALL muslims don't agree with him.

I admit, I was fooled from his beard, I use to think that he is kinda religious. But now I am wiser, he is a turncoat. I am totally disgusted from these kinds of politicians in Pakistan.

im not in 100% agreement with ayaz amir... alcohol ban is correct... though widely used in pakistan by the elite throuhg wine and pooor thru bhatti ki sharab... dawn paper 4 years back had front page quarter add saying are u alcoholic, please call this number...

ayaz amir according to some reports is so secular that he thinks its a basic human right to drink alcohol and religions are wrong to stop people from taking alcohol...ayaz amirs rivals in elections claimed that he cant write a column without drinking alcohol,on this accusation he did not even deny this and said that i wish my liver was more strong so i could drink that much.
also ayaz amir has in past written in favor of qadianis.may be he was the one who made nawaz shareef give statement that qadyabis are our brothers!at which a lot of chaos took place.

yes you are right....we only need one revolution,on model of prophet muhammad,s (sallah u alihe wasallum) islamic revolution which started in medina and than spread throughout the world...khamini etc revolutions were not islamic.
