In my humble opinion, this public fiqhi debate on who is shaheed or is Pakistans role in the WOT justified under Shariah is untimely, inflammatory and divisive, and deflects public attention from the real issue of obtaining peace. Pl show some maturity and don't fall into this trap!

For those who are desperate to get a verdict on this issue, why dont they advise the President/PM to send a Reference to the Council of Islamic Ideology - the appropriate Forum to sort out these questions? Don't confuse the people any further - we have a constitutional mechanism available to get answers to such ethical/moral/religious dilemmas. If the President can send a Reference to the SC to revisit the ZAB trial (by implication to solemnise the title of shaheed on him), will they ask for the jurists' opinion on this as well?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You may have better knowledge than me but I strongly disagree. I have to request you, not to use the phrase, "Allah ke baad". Allah is everywhere and always everywhere. Allah is the one and only one who saved our country to date and He will in future. You must trust in Allah not the so called Pakistan Army. It is proved that it is not Pakistan Army as long as they are allied with christians & jews (Said by Allah).
