Just imagine if the roles were reversed (and surely, they will) and such claims were being mocked about anyone from other parties, then civil society, liberal commentators and human rights watchdogs would be screaming their lungs out through the rooftop. But right now? Radio silence. This selective morality is exactly why no one take Pakistan's "human rights" slogans seriously anymore.

Ignoring is one way. I tend to spot their Breed, Not All Trolls Are the Same. I categorize them in 3:
a) Paid propagandists -> Operate in herds, use same talking points, quote "sources" that only exist in Naya Narrativeistan.b) Party fanatics -> Emotionally blinded, not paid, but fully programmed.
c) Low-IQ mockers -> Just there to insult, get laughs, or farm likes.
Treatment varies. Paid trolls deserve public embarrassment, fanatics deserve exposure, mockers deserve the mute button.These ones are Category C. So, you're spot on.

You need to do some more research. There is a 4th category as well (if you'd like to acknowledge) --The ones who had been ill treated for their cynicism of Imran Khan's decisions like Buzdar and Co. by the Fanboys of Imran Khan and the usual trolls of PTI.Ignoring is one way. It remains a fact that PTI has been damaged more by such imbecile and emotionally charged persona worshipers, for whom Khan is even above Pakistan.
Some people now just are paying back what they received from the PTI trolls. That is the 4th category. Now you may name this category as you deem fit.
So, either try to instill some sense into the PTI bandwagon that anyone has a right and should be respected for their views, if they are poised enough and show a genuine concern for the country, even if it means questioning and/or criticizing Imran Khan's decision. If we want to grow into a civilized nation.
Or, just make them realize that their bashing is just only a reaction of what they have been doing all along.

I have been here for over a decade now. You can go and see my and the OPs debates over our matters of difference and quote me any point where me or him got abusive towards each other. I, being on the other side of the table (not supporting PMLN/PPP) have always respected his right of freedom of association and he has always been very respectful towards me too. The proof is in the pudding --The debates are all over the forum.
That is the main dilemma from which 99% of PTI is suffering. They regularized the terms "Ferrari, Gairajan, Diesel..." and what not... and now are asking for a bargain which they were never really ready to give to the other side?
Listen: The best way to solve a problem is to first acknowledge that there exists one.
You can keep living in your state of denial, but that won't change the reality and also will not prevent any further damage, received due to this problem. This trend only rouses rage (as it enrages you here) and has never proven to be effective in instilling any sense into anybody.
